|
|
So... Ive been fortunate enough this year to get my hands on PlayStation 2,3 and 4, with the added bonus of bagging myself mint condition guitars for ps2 and 3 respectively.
My question is how will playing the same songs across all 3 consoles effect my wiki page scores?
My guess is that it will just add to my overall score and not my individual score, however I'm not 100% about how it works out so any help.would be appreciated before I go any further with it all. |

This is a question that Cabanon and Void can vouch for more fully. As far as I can tell, you would, presuming you already have scores in on the Xbox/Wii side have the ability to have multiple scores for each song. Lets do an example.
Say you play Let there Be Rock:
RB1 on disk for PS2: 140,000
RB1 on disk for PS3: 141,000
RB1 on disk for XB1: 142,000
Your score for RB1 would show 142,000 for the wiki
RB2 import on the PS3: 143,000
RB2 import on the XB1: 144,000
Your score for RB2 total would list the 144,00 and your new total for XB1 and PS3 would go up to reflect your new score of 2,000 more each
RB3 import on the PS3: 153,000
RB3 import on the XB1: 154,000
Since this would introduce overdrives you cannot get in the original solo, your score now goes up for each platform by 10,000 each and for the RB3 total (non disk).
At least that's how my boards work, and I am reasonably sure its how Unique Total per platform/game/difficulty work as well. Like I said, void and Cab have a lot more experience to better explain it, and potentially correct mistakes I may have made. Overall, your unique total should show the highest possible score regardless of platform or import on a given difficulty, even if you entered in 3 scores for each platform. I think that should be right. _________________

can't help you on that side. never cared much for the wiki part and I refuse to play imports that would count toward a FGFC. I play it where it was intended to be. same for DLC.
that said, bushi's logic seems right. _________________

@bushidox.. Thanks for the reply. It definitely clears things up for me concerning wiki.

Not sure what you mean by imports that count towards a FGFC, but forgetting about wiki, you may be able to shed some light on what happens if I input scores for multiple consoles over on the standard leaderboards. Does it mess anything up?
For instance if I post scores for WT easy bass on xbox, then Ps2, then PS3. Basically will it effect the leaderboards and is it allowed?
Thanks again \m/ |

He meant for completing a FGFC across multiple systems for a given game, ie broken talkies in RB1 (Next to You, etc), impossible to hit sections on guitar in RB1 (GGaHT, etc) or known glitches that appear on one system but not the next.
If you entered scores for multiple systems on the GH side, you would appear on each individual system you had the score for, and it would total for that on the wiki. If you then clicked on the All on the GH side, it would determine your single highest score regardless of system and display that. RB does not have the all feature, so that is less of an issue.
That does bring up the issue of score totals on the RB side. I believe it was the Wii that has several songs that appear on disk for RB1 that do not for any other system as disk, as it was not set up for DLC. Those songs appeared as DLC for the PS3/XBox. Same thing for Xbox specific RBN DLC that never appeared on PS3/PS4. Namely, by playing songs that appear only on that system it gives you an extra boost to your total. _________________

Usual wealth of knowledge bushidox, much appreciated. I'm only interested in playing the on disc songs for Ps2 and PS3, so no harm done. Thanks again |
