Welcome to my unofficial Overall Bass leaderboard for posted scores located on Score Hero. If you are new to this board, welcome, everyone else knows the drill by now.
Short explanation: The first chart is for Expert, the second is for Hard, the third for Medium, the fourth for Easy. The scores are listed with the top scores on the bottom, and the indicators show you the place changes since the last update. Yellow indicates no change, a green arrow indicates an increase or addition to the board, the red down arrow indicates that score went down a rank, and a red dot in that space indicates a new member.
The first set of each set of columns are for total score across the 6 ondisk RB games for Guitar (RB1, RB2, TB:RB, LRB, GD:RB and RB3).
The second set of each set of columns are for total score across the 6 ondisk RB games for Guitar (RB1, RB2, TB:RB, LRB, GD:RB and RB3), but include imported scores (ie playing a previous game imported in a later engine) and picks your highest total.
The third set of each columns are for Grand Total on everything: the 6 RB guitar games, RB4, AC/DC and Rock Band Blitz. As the RB4 requires a totally new system and both AC/DC and RBB are essentially track packs, I count them in the seperate total column. iRB, RBU, and LRB (DS) will not be added as they require totally different systems/mechanics. I am also not doing a leaderboard that includes RBN as that is all DLC and different totals exist for different platforms etc.
Boards updated monthly.
(Last update 03/25/2024)
I need your help!
If you want to see a name included on this list, either post in this thread or PM me, I am always happy to improve the list. If you are one of the lucky few to have enough posted points to make a leaderboard, my automated updates will show your data once I enter your name. Thanks for visiting!
-------------------------------------------------------------------------
A note about the boards themselves. Originally, on the RB side of things there were the OMB total boards for RB1 and RB2 and a way for people to see how they stacked up against others on Expert. Over time, I thought that would be nice to have on the GH side, so I created Expert leaderboards on guitar over there. Originally thought up as just Expert, I later expanded it to both all 4 difficulties on Guitar, then an additional thread for Bass and all 4 difficulties. The older RB boards are defunct now, and since the GH boards had the effect of getting more people to play and enter scores on that side, I thought they could have the same effect on this side. You don't have to join a rivalry to get on these boards, just enter your scores in for the site and the updates should catch your scores.
Unlike the GH side, things are done a bit differently for data. On the GH side, they have all platforms, whereas the RB side does not. In addition, as you can export virtually all the games on the RB side fully into the later games in the series (TB:RB and the 3 RB1 songs not withstanding), many people have played them as imported games. This thread takes that into account, with the data being pulled for each possible game + platform + import combo. With that said, there are a couple of caveats:
1) You must enter all your scores for them to count, I can't pull data that is not there.
2) As singe more or less broke the boards just totalling up every game/platform/import combo, I take whatever a player's max was for a given game/platform/import and add that to your total.
a) this means that if you enter scores on RB1 on disk for 3 songs then later played the import on say RB3 for the remaining, it misses your 3 songs from the RB1 on disk.
b) this also means that if a different engine nets more points there is no good way to account for this, ala RB1/2/GD/LRB played in RB3/4 engine.
c) I recommend that you get scores in for every song you can for your chosen instrument + platform + game/import to fully count towards your total.
3) The names were entered based on the top 25 ranking spots per game/platform/import, if I missed you, speak up, its easy to add your name to the update, I just need to know the correct spelling of your user name.
4) Feel free to play a given game in whatever platform/import/game you want, just get all your scores in for them to count.
Enjoy the boards and please leave comments on what I missed, or if you think of a good suggestion or two to improve upon them. Thanks for reading. _________________

Hey, Bushi, I'm really excited for this and all, but I really need to know if you switched the thread titles around or not. The guitar one acts like it's the Bass board, and this one also acts like the bass board.
More of a issue of identification, really. Still great that you got this set up.
(now I have to figure out if I want to integrate this with rank-ups on the GH side or not... . At the very least I can get the data set up and figure out how to copy it over later, I suppose.)
EDIT I think you should update them all at the start of June and then start the every other week cycle then, just so that it's all pretty and sycned up. I'd also love to hear your initial thoughts on how these boards shaped up with where people are (not the least because I'm completely and utterly shocked I'm 1st on both MBass boards. Wow.) _________________

Void,
In reference to your first question: On the GH boards we have three columns due to the O211, that doesn't exist on the RB side, so yes, they are going to look very similar to the Bass GH boards. You will just have to be better at reading the thread titles :P .
Next, I fixed the tops of the boards to read RB instead of GH on my excel sheets, the next update will reflect that, nice catch.
I can do both updates, probably next week to start off June, then start the every other week updates. Not sure how much action the RB boards will see outside of our loyal cadre of GH players, but I thought it was at least worth a shot of trying to inspire people. A ten year old franchise is probably on the ropes at this point, but what can you do.
Between the Wiki, my 5 boards, and the FC rivalries, we now have sufficiently covered all bases. I have it broken down by difficulties + series. The FC rivalries do both GH and RB justice with FCs for at least Expert and Hard. The FGFC covers that aspect, and if I get unlazy and do the 1st place boards again that will cover that (just need to run and post them). The Wiki breaks it down sitewide for difficulty, game and platform so that's a handy tool. Pretty cool, considering when I started the boards none of those existed.
As for a full breakdown of how I thought things turned out, I was waiting on the second update for that bit. I was a bit burned out from the boards after spending 16 hours getting them setup between last week and this. The boards take about twice as long to run on the RB side than GH (1.5 hours for all 8 vs 45 min for the 8 GH ones), which isn't too bad, now that they are setup correctly. A big thanks to DrSham for providing the template and correct query formulas to make the magic happen. While I setup these boards totally by myself, I still used his template, which saved a ton of time. _________________

I meant that you mention that they're the bass boards throughout most of the OP over there, which got me confused. _________________

Leaderboards are up to date, for today, 05/31/2017, enjoy. These boards definitely got some people's attention, as we had updates to all four difficulties in just a single week. On Easy bass, we had yamerias lose -16,150 points in corrections, voidedalive2x lose -2,022 points in corrections, and UltraHeroABC5 actually go up 2,130,841 points, and he has got to be close to a FSFC at this point. For Medium bass, we had voidedalive2x again go down -490,000 points due to me fixing the boards to be accurate, and Cabanon gained 2,210,350 points, with his TB:RB FGFC. Onto Hard bass, where we had fearofmimes gain 7,283 points, inching closer to the top 10. Finally, for Expert bass, we had greenbaymackey blow up the Grand Total board with 4,794,788 points gained, maybe he played AC/DC finally? Decent update all around, I went with Void's idea and made it a bi-weekly update, I will give the nod to greenbaymackey for such a huge points haul in one update. Lets hope that this thread continues to inspire people to at least enter their scores, if not play more.
Good comments all around, especially the corrections suggested by void. I noticed I forgot to change the title on each board, that will be corrected next update. The boards should be more accurate this time around, as the formulas I used on the guitar boards are now in place on the bass ones. Namely, your total points are now whatever your highest score is across all versions of a game/export/engine/platform, via a Max formula, and it is not double counting points. Once again, this brings up the limitation of if someone played some songs in one engine but not all of a songs for a game in the same setup. For my previous example, I think its a good one, as many people have played RB1 as an export, and entered in scores for just the three non-exportable songs in RB1. For those folks, their RB1 non-exported are not being counted, which is minor, but annoying.
As the RB1 three songs are the only non-exportable tracks, I may try to find a way to add in just those three. For the GH side that is a nitemare, as you have a seemingly random number of exported songs from game to game, never mind the issue I never addressed with GHSH and its versions versus previous in the series. RB is different as it allows you to play the entire series minus those three songs in whatever later engine you prefer, which is pretty awesome. Owing to the way points work, obviously it benefits you to play the earlier songs as exports, but I digress. Curious to see your guys' comments and suggestions. _________________

That would actually be coincidental because Cabanon pointed out that I somehow gave myself a 546K score or something on I Saw Her Standing There when it should've just been 56K. Didn't even know that was a typing until he pointed it out.
tiny bit upset at losing that 1st, but considering how I got it I'm not going to complain. _________________

Nope, I just decided to finish going through the RB4 setlist on bass. Added at least 26 new scores. Now if I can ever convince myself to grind out a decent score on Dream Genie I can take 1st overall on RB4 expert bass... but it's so painful. |

Hey Bushi, can you tell me how far off I am on the X board, I guess for both?As I still need to insert like ~40 scores on RB4 Bass. |

Here are your totals for Expert RB Bass Pinkie:
65 30,072,960 33 41,523,093 PinkiePie91
As you can see, you are already on the final column, and are missing the first column by about 4 million points. _________________

Many thanks Bushi! Should be on the first board as soon as I enter my Lego FGFC, and do a bit more on RB1 or RB2. |
