Yeah, it's gonna get ridiculous, but I figure if I put about $50 out of every paycheck ($25/week) into my music collection, it will fill out nicely soon enough. In my spare time I plan on chugging through the DLC I already have and entering scores for all of them. With all my imports, I have 891 songs currently, so it's gonna be a long-term task, but ultimately I will be happy with it
11/8/10 - 70 RB3 FC's / MORE DLC FUN
Got to 70 on-disc FC's today, a milestone which I am proud to hit, but I admit I thought would be easier. Here's a breakdown of the last songs I have on RB3's on-disc guitar career:
Antibodies - I can get this, I just need to practice the outro a little.
Saturday Night's Alright For Fighting I haven't played it all the way through yet, but I am pretty consistent on what I imagine is the hardest parts
Beast and the Harlot I just need to learn the BO trill and get lucky with the strums in the solo. My sightread was an FC outside of that
Radar Love Haven't played it yet
Been Caught Steeling It's fast, I remember playing it in GH:WoR and thinking it was tricky, but manageable. As long as the solo isn't charted crazy I can get this
Crazy Train I am getting a lot closer to this one, I just need more consistency with the reverse chimneys
Caught in a Mosh Fuck this song, it can wait until last
Roundabout I played it once in band quickplay at a friend's house, and I didn't see anything too tricky. I can get this with a little practice
Rainbow in the Dark I did surprisingly good on the solo in my sightread, with practice I could FC it
Llama I just need to learn where strumming ends on upstrums and downstrums; similar to Antibodies' outro, I just need to play it more
25 or 6 to 4 Solo 2 is the problem here. I can get this one
Free Bird I am pretty close, just need one lucky run to pull it together

Damn, it looks like you'll have the FGFC before me lol. I'll never FC Crazy train either, so I guess you got me on that :P.
Good to see the work you're doing on guitar. Race to bass when I get it? :P _________________

I don't know how quickly I will be getting any FGFC's...but I think you need to try the chart before you consider it a lost cause. The reverse chimney's are easier if you anchor the lowest note and treat the higher notes as if they are trills. So instead of the chart being:
I play it as though it were like this:
Choosing to one-hand it seems to work better for me until I reach the blue notes, so I think with some practice I could find a method of one-handing it until that point and then tapping the necessary notes. The trills are a LOT easier than people have been saying, in my opinion.
doobers wrote: | Awesome job on the 70/83 man. Also super job on the 1st in guitar dlc thing. I have been meaning to do some dlc stuff on drums and see how far I can get on those charts. I have 715 available songs and have only played about 115 of them so far. So I have got some work cut out for me. I just don;t want to do all the stuff by myself you know, and none of my friends have that much dlc in common with *sniff* me and, you know *sniff* I don't wana be that guy who just plays by himself for no reason, so, maybe *sniff* we can play together some time? |
I'd love to play some time! Do you play on 360? If so, add me: (GT: Aggro Graf) _________________

11/16/10 - 30 DLC FC's / GREEN GRASS AND OVERSTRUMS wrote: |
I took a random run at Green Grass and High Tides hoping to finally clinch the bass FC I have sought after for a while. On my first and only run, I got the #1 score on the leaderboard... without an FC. I overstrummed at the end of 2E, just before the red notes in the strumming. It sucks, but I know I can FC it, so maybe with some luck I can get the FC on another random run
In other news, I FC'd the Bon Jovi Greatest Hits pack, got to work on Bee Gee's and FC'd the singles this week. I am currently still ranked 1st for Downloadable Content in RB3, and hopefully I will have all the available songs FC'd soon

That's still awesome, at least you didn't miss a note
And most of the Jovi pack looked difficult on guitar _________________

3/21/11 - ZOMB1ES AND LOTS OF BASS FC'S wrote: |
First FC of ZOMB1ES on Rock Band 3, according to leaderboards on XBL
In other news, I FC'd Painkiller and Shoulder to the Plow to get started on my Rock Band 2 Imports, and I made a 50-song dent in my Rock Band 3 DLC. I am aiming to get through all the RB3 DLC before going through the legacy DLC. With these first 50 FC's, I have approximately 136 songs left....assuming I finish before Tuesday (not happening). I will catch up eventually, but in the meantime, here are the results:- Rock Band 2 Imports Bass FC - Painkiller
- Rock Band 2 Imports Bass FC - Shoulder to the Plow
I started this set of 50 FC's going in alphabetical order, with the only song missing being Head Like a Hole, which I failed to FC in two tries. I wanted to make as much progress as possible, so I skipped it for the time being. Maybe I will have that FC for my next update, which will hopefully not be another 3 months down the line - Rock Band 3 DLC Bass FC - A Whiter Shade of Pale
