I'm still on medium, and I'm not a great vocalist by any means, I usually fail out at least once. But WGFA is a breeze for me. Any possible explanations? I do love the Who, could familiarity be it?

Definitely.
I know that when I got RB and started my vocal career, I had no problem with most of the main setlist because I listened to a playlist of those songs over the summer quite often.
But when I got to the bonus songs, and I didn't know what any of them sounded like, I failed a lot (especially I Get By).

Yep, the scale of difficulty in the vocal tour is completely wrong if you've heard the later songs more than the earlier songs :-) Since I didn't start getting into vocals until I was most of the way through the guitar tour, I did better on some of the songs with crazy-hard guitar parts that I had to repeat over and over again - my first run singing Green Grass and High Tides on expert was around #200 on Xbox Live.

I found it easy on medium too. I thought I was singing what the song sounded like, and I passed. (mind you I was passing most songs on medium, and maybe you weren't, just depends on how well you already know the songs if you can sing even a little bit)

It took a few times to pass and then a LONG time to get half good on expert. I'm still not entirely sure what notes are in the song but I guess I've internalised it gradually over time.

edit: I think I was talking about Gimme Shelter but WGFA isn't that easy :)

A lot of it is a matter of how well you know the song.

I had absolutely no trouble on Foreplay/Long Time, but I've had a lot of trouble with Blitzkrieg Bop, for instance.
