Alright, so my vocal range is naturally low and pretty small, which results in me singing about an octave lower in every song (not a problem though). Now in some songs I can't ever get really low pitches. Like Creep, for example. I can sing most of the opening well, but at "like a feather..." I can't drop my voice that low. The opening lyrics of Reptilia are similar, but sometimes I can get those

Usually in songs like this, I end up starting out an octave high, then dropping an octave when I can sing much better (works well in Reptilia)

Can anyone give advice on getting to those low pitches without starting higher and dropping?

You could always start in a high octave, but this is hard for a lot of songs.
I think the mic/game can't pick up sounds under a certain pitch. I have this problem too, so you're not the only one.

low notes are weird for me, i'm tempted to believe either I'm a moron at low notes (entirely possible)

... or, the range on the mic just doesn't pick up the lower stuff as well (lets hope this is it)

Yeah, I'm hoping its the mic range too...

Although that means there isn't any way to fix that

to get the lower vocals i find it best to know the song and not pay attention to the pitch. Most of the time it will hit the very lowest notes with out you even thinking you have. Just a thought

The lower the notes get, the harder it is to control the pitch. Try taking it up an octave. If you don't have the range to sing the whole phrase that high, find a spot in the middle of the phrase to jump the octave.

I can hit every low note in the game by going up an octave as suggested, with the exception of "wayyy-ayyyy-ayyyyve" on Wave of Mutiliation. F that noise

Try singing LOUDER as you go lower. Works for me... if I'm singing along mezzo-piano (apartment living FTW) and dip down into my deep baritone range for something, I notice I can't hold pitch as well, so I bring my volume up and that seems to work.

Like the "can't quite make it alone" part in Learning To Fly. I can only 100% that on expert if I get louder during that section, otherwise it won't all register.

I find low pitches are a lot easier to bunt.

HAHAHA.... ahhh... yes... yes they are.

but anyway... kickin' it up a notch seems to be the best choice, but then when it gets too high, bring it on down. the song may sound retarded as you sing it, but the pitch is right (just... different)

know what i mean?
