As bizarre as this will sound, skipping is actually a pretty valid technique when you're learning Hard drumming in a band situation. Because the rest of the band is to some degree keeping time based on how you beat the pads, it's better to miss a note here or there rather than throw the timing for the whole band out of whack. Anytime I'm playing guitar, my biggest challenge is staying in time while our drummer speeds up, slows down, or completely bombs a fill.
Of course, this is something you shouldn't have to do more than a few times. If you're playing drums for your band and consistently need to skip notes, it's time to turn down the difficulty. _________________

Phr34k on drums. He was unbelievably good in our Rock Band experience at HMX.
Also if anyone is wondering why some links don't work properly on the battle of the bands interface (band profile pages, and score details links), they'll be fixed in a few days. I had to take a break coding there in order to work on GH3 which should ready in 9 hours. _________________

We finished our four songs earlier tonight, and I'm really curious to see how we did. We 5-starred each, but I wonder if we got the most out of our scores -- there's definitely some strategy regarding whether it's more advantageous to keep streaks going on Hard or going for broke on Expert. We're still trying to figure that out. _________________
