A lot of bands that were huge in America are virtually unknown here (for example, good luck trying to find a member of the general public who's heard of Chicago or Kansas). Which means no KISS, live or otherwise. Ever. Well, perhaps Crazy Crazy Nights, but that's literally all. |
Totally agree. Kiss NEVER get played on normal UK radio, and Crazy Crazy Nights was BY FAR their biggest hit here (so much so that for their UK tour last year they actually had it in their setlist for the first time since the '80s). My local rock station's pretty good on Kiss though, they play all their major hits.
Having said that, I'd KILL for Crazy Crazy Nights in Rock Band. That song has the most epic vocals ever.

Me too! Tony Hawk's Underground FTW. That game had my favourite version of RARAN in it (the Alive IV version). Was also how I discovered them
As for this week's DLC, I'll wait and see how the live verisons sound but I'm a pretty big Kiss fan so I'l probably end up buying them. Now we just need Crazy Crazy Nights, God Gave Rock and Roll to You and Let's Put The X In Sex and the Kiss fan in me will be satisfied across both series.
Also, ANOTHER GTA song taken off the list \m/ _________________

Yeah I will have to have a listen to the KISS tracks after they are out to decide.
From the podcast they said these KISS tracks are previously unreleased recordings from the Alive Tour. |

Which is exactly what they said about the last Kiss (live) tracks... And we all know how well those turned out. The crappiest pack ever released where no instruments had anything fun and every drummer complained about being ripped off.

Excited for the KISS live tracks
Wasn't thrilled with Orbison only, but ah well. _________________

The Roy Orbison songs will be the re-recordings from the 1987 greatest hits album.
That's to be expected, the only song NOT on the greatest hits album last time was You Got It, which was also a later release
The KISS songs are not from an album release, but are recorded from a tour. It's likely to me that they're from the same tour as 100,000 Years was.
Also to be expected. Great way to bring the GH crowd over though to nab 2 of the more notable KISS Live songs | That being said, I like how the covers done for GH2 and 3 were based off of the live recordings. | Well, to re-qualify that point on the KISS tracks: I was pointing out that we're not getting recordings released on one of their Alive albums, but more likely than not getting a more recent recording.
The Roy-O note was mostly just stating it for the sake of being thorough. _________________

On the official forums, there was a big shitstorm about last week's announcement because they didn't say that 867-5309 was a re-record from the 2010 album instead of the original '80s version. You had to go to the blog to find that out. HMXHenry popped in to the thread and said they would try to be more up front about it in the future. _________________

If Rock and Roll All Nite isn't from the Dressed to Kill tour, someone's gonna pay. |

It is. There is a preview video of the songs on the rockband.com blog, go listen to it... _________________

I would get the two kiss tracks, however I have no urge to play this game or spend my money right now on this game. I'm pretty much waiting for a song or pack that I LOVE in order to pick this game up again. There hasn't been a song that i love since linkin park. _________________

The first Roy Orbison pack was one of the gratest things to ever happen on music games. I will buy this one too, but I´m sad that, again, we don´t have I Drove All Night. |
