RLL RLL RLL RLL
Practice that until you can do it smoothly in triplets. That's pretty much all there is to the intro. Once you get the feel for that you'll be able to flow just fine--just aim for the rights and let the lefts fill in evenly. |

Alternatively, you can try Cross-Sticking. Cross-Sticking is a technique many actual drummers use in that their arms are crossed, so on a real kit, their right hand is hitting the hi-hat and their left hand is hitting the snare.
In terms of rock band, this would mean your right hand hits Red and your left hand is responsible for Yellow Blue and Green. It may feel awkward at first if you've never drummed before, but you can give it a shot.
If your right hand is your dominant (quicker) hand, then playing RRL RRL here will be much more convenient if you can get cross-sticking down. |

I found I was hitting the reds to fast, I slowed my left arm down a little and started to combo it. So yeah, I agree with the RLL RLL etc.. just takes a little practice and you'll get it. Rest of the song is cake! |
