Hard and Expert Drum advice for FCs or passing

This may seem obvious, but some folks may have missed it like I did.

If you're having trouble passing or FCing a song, then save your overdrive energy notes that you won't have to play in the drum fills are not counted against you, so it cuts the notes you have to play nearly in half. If you're just trying to pass the song, then only use you overdrive when you KNOW for sure you'll really need it. That's what I've been doing.

Sure, I can rape GHs 1, 2, 3, and Rock Band guitars on expert, but drums are strange to me, and I've made it about halfway through hard with this strategy.
