As I mentioned previously (http://rockband.scorehero.com/forum/viewtopic.php?p=692861#692861), I moved my server. All sections of the site are now on the new server. It is actually hosted in Amazon's cloud now.
It became apparent that performance was an issue on Amazon's lowest tier of service, which is what I have, compared to my server I was running out of my house.
I have already implemented a change that reduces the server's memory usage when generating large charts, which seems to help noticeably. As time permits, I am looking into other optimizations.
Please let me know if you notice any difference in performance, for better or worse, for both bare charts and the "interactive" part. The more specific details you can provide the better. _________________

For the past few days I seem to be not be able to access the site where you can upload your own MIDI and check out the chart (http://site.tmullin.net:81/ipather/songlisting.php)
Has it been taken down?
The regular iPather site does work though. |

I have corrected the issue. For some reason, the DNS entry for site.tmullin.net got reset and was pointing back to my old server, which resulted in an infinite redirect-loop.

When trying to make a FB path for Selkis: The Endless Obsession, I get the Bar Chart load error. I use chrome so I've never had a problem with this before. After checking it out, It's only the vocal chart that causes this error. I was wondering if it can be fixed?? Also it I get the error for the vocal chart on both versions; Regular and 2X Bass Pedal. |

Also, What's left of me by Blessthefall isn't working. When you select make a path, it loads the next screen, but doesn't load the option to select what you want to make a path for. |

Whenever I try to make a path it says "permission denied". It could be something with the internet settings on this library computer, I suppose... If it's working for you, any suggestions for me? |

My server was running low on disk space which was causing some strange errors. I freed some up and it seems to be fine now. _________________

I've been doing some tweaks over the last few days to reduce my Amazon Web Services bill and hopefully improve performance simultaneously, so let me know if anything else seems out of the ordinary. _________________

Well it was doing that yesterday...
Now it's: bare chart load error: [object Object]. So the chart is invisible.
I'm trying to create a g/pd/v/pk path for piano man. |

I was able to reproduce the "bare chart load error: [object Object]" in Firefox.
I believe this is related to https://bugzilla.mozilla.org/show_bug.cgi?id=591822
The "bare chart" image in question for Piano Man is 1020x37978 pixels (http://ipather-s3.tmullin.net/cache/bare_charts/pianoman%5Brb3%5D-xvocals.xguitar.xprodrums.xprokeys-bare.png). If that image doesn't render by itself in your browser you'll have issues with iPather.
I tested in Chrome and it seemed to work fine so I would suggest using Chrome for songs with very long charts. Don't count on me coming up with a way to split the chart images when they become very tall.
I also got the "permission denied" error when using Internet Explorer when trying to create any chart, regardless of song/length. This may have something to do with some backend changes I made to how the chart images are stored. _________________
