No new XBLIG content can be published after September 9, 2016
XBLIG will be taken down September 9, 2017, and all pending payouts will paid out.
Since RBN uses XBLIG as it's content/payment backend, this is likely the end date availability for all RBN songs as well. |

Well, I'm pretty satisfied with two years notice
Shame all those songs are gonna just disappear, but I suppose it had to happen sooner or later
Still waiting on word about RB4 support _________________

On the plus side, that's two years for Harmonix to potentially republish these songs for Rock Band 4, thereby freeing them of the RBN/XBLIG framework and preserving them for the foreseeable future. There is hope yet!
On the other hand, it's sad as a former RBN author to have an end date for your work's availability. _________________

Microsoft confirmed today all XBLIG content will be redownloadable and usable after September 2017, so this means we'll be able to redownload RBN songs, just not purchase ones we don't have yet. |

Thanks, FyreWulff, I wondered that immediately when I saw this thread's title. |
