No BNS is a little annoying for me but I'll cope. Hopefully it is something they might consider patching in like in RB2 (or 3?). If it was "an hour for a coder" then it would obviously be in the game. From a technical standpoint it must be a little more complicated than we would guess and they've decided not to do the work for launch.
The setlist so far is cool. Rock Band always has a nice mix of tough stuff with easy but fun stuff. Those solos in the DT song will be tough. I had a listen to everything else newly announced and the standouts are Miracle Man (the chart will be reminiscent to Bark at the Moon I think) and the Foo Fighters song which sounds great on drums.
I am hoping for a few Impossible tier things which will take some mastery. Usually harder songs are from slightly more obscure bands so I expect them to be announced with less fanfare later on.
Any word on total number of songs? If they're not including things like online and practice which were in the last game then to make up for it, they ought to be shooting for 100 songs on-disc. |

If I remember correctly, they said "60+" but no word on a final number. |

I almost passed out with excitement when I saw Metropolis Pt 1 is going to be in the game. People tend to overuse the word "epic" but it definitely fits here. I can't wait! Crossing my fingers for an Images and Words full album DLC down the road! |

60+ could mean they have at least 60 for sure but they're not sure on the final song count yet, or there might just be 60 songs, which honestly would suffice for me, although I'd love to have a number in the 80-90 range like RB2, RB3, and and the later GH games. _________________

I think I was the first to get one, and that was December 2010 (so about 2 months after game release). I think they started showing up more regularly in March or April 2011. _________________

Yup. Official release was March 2011, exclusive to Best Buy, $280 without an MPA.
It was a peripheral that was truly dead on arrival, yet highly sought after. _________________

So, am I the only one that thinks this "new look" looks even more like a beta build than what we've seen previously? Those gems look hideous, IMO. _________________

Actually a couple interesting songs and one I love with Halls of Vahalla. I also never realized that Brown Eyed Girl was never in the game after all this time lol Generally the soundtrack is slowly shaping up nicer than GHL it seems. More well rounded. |

I mean the gems need some work but the old build was just so plain. I had a hard time getting excited because of how boring it looked
They could maybe tone the effects on the gems down a bit but beyond that I think the UI looks gorgeous now _________________

I think everything looks better, but I also honestly loved the GHWT gems, which this reminds me of. _________________

So, I watched the Rock Band 4 "Live Game Play" from E3 and saw the new freestyle guitar solo stuff. This is some of the most cringe-inducing shit I've seen out of a rhythm game.
https://youtu.be/W064el2AWb0?t=3m46s
"Let's stop the solo so Mr. Asshole can spam Skrillex bullshit all over this song, like a coked-out Gary Busey, playing a synthesizer that just told him it murdered his entire family."
I hate it. But maybe that's just me.[/url] |
