I never played GH, and have pretty much been firmly planted to my drum stool in RB (3 songs left on X).

In order to get "good" at guitar, would it be easier to jump straight to hard and get used to the orange notes right off the bat instead of learning on medium and then trying to add them in later?

Thoughts?

Depends on your patience and how quickly you learn. I suppose you could just go straight for hard if you're patient and get used to the game quickly.

The patience comes in when you're likely to fail songs a few times getting used to it.

The learning comes in when your patience fades. >_>

go hard, see what you can do. keep struggling through it, then once you start to lose stuff, go to medium. Play most of medium, then go back to hard.

Once you get close to the end of hard, jump to expert, play expert as far as you can. When you get stuck, drop back to hard. I think forcing yourself to play harder modes you struggle with, then dropping down helps A LOT.

That's exactly what I did. And I'm pretty decent at Guitar nowadays.

The one drawback is that it's really frustrating to play Medium or Easy. *.*
