Why did they make the Strat so much harder to strum than the wireless Les Paul? |

It's not harder. It's just what you're used to.
The Les Paul's strum bar clicks... it really helps most players in keeping rhythm. Personally, I prefer the Les Paul because I lack a natural sense of rhythm and cannot maintain it without the constant smashing of the strum bar.
The Stratocaster will throw you off if you're used to Guitar Hero because of the lack of that click. The grip of the strum bar is quite different (and helpful, in many cases), so it may be easier for some. I actually like the Strat for faster sequences of notes, such as gallops or the 'stream of death' in Green Grass and High Tides.
So if you get used to playing with the Strat, you'll have an easier time trying to use it. |

Hate the previous guitar controllers personally, including both the les paul and xplorer. I tried playing with my xplorer a few days ago and man did it feel like crap. I personally hate the annoying click that the strumbar made, I don't need it to keep rhythm, it just makes an annoying sound and gives a very unnatural feeling of picking or strumming |
