I understand i should avoid putting drum fills and overdrive in the same spaces, as it doesnt make sense and causes screw ups.
My simple question is the limit on that. Is it just overlapping that casues issues?
Im looking to put a drum fill almost literally right up to a solo. Would i get magma or rockband issues putting them literally one following the other?
Edit: Scratch that, that is not my plan, however, i would still like to know the answer to this for future reference! |

I think there would be a problem, because the first notes of the drum solo would be covered by the fill. The simple way to avoid that would be to just have the solo start right after the activation note (but not on that note). _________________

As long as they don't overlap you're fine. However, since you end your activations with a crash usually, that means that either your solo begins with a crash or that your solo will start with the wrong sound. |

Yes. Well, watch out for long solos and too many OD that the player can't eventually deploy. Other than that, yes, solos have OD phrases. |
