I would really like HMX to release some article discussing why they pick song X of song Y (similar to the article they released with the life of a song) I agree with almost everything Mystakin has said (odd), but I always have this nagging feeling that other factors go into what song gets Pro as opposed to just popularity and playability (evening out easy and harder songs) Something about them picking "Let Me Roll It" over "Band on the Run" just doesnt sit well with me since the difficulty would seem to be about the same and BotR is quite a bit more popular. I have always assumed something else would have to go there since BotR seems like the ideal choice.
Im sure HMX have been asked it before, maybe some of you guys know, but if not it would be a great read to know the criteria.
For what it's worth, HMX almost always get it right (in my opinion) so I basically never have a problem with their choice _________________

Tell me about it. I requested Your Be-tray-all. Guess HMX didn't liek it. |
Clearly my submission of Baking the Demon was too little, too late. _________________

And with this, we can agree. There have been plenty of weeks that I have been disappointed with the lack of Pro Guitar on certain songs (Tears Don't Fall, Ignorance, Diary of a Madman, Still Waiting, etc.) but I understand WHY they choose the songs they do. I can't really fault them for trying to make their money back on such a niche market. _________________

I'm still pissed they picked Stop Draggin' My Heart Around over Paradise By The Dashboard Light. I know it's a long song but come on that was the best song in the pack. _________________

Just gonna be blunt here and say that musically this is the worst dlc since limp bizkit imo. Here's hoping for something a bit better next week D: |

I like how they're leaning more modern, which has gotten me kind of hyped for something I really really want, but this seems like it isn't going to make it. Only one download this month and nothing this year that's really hyped me. That's not to say I didn't enjoy some of the DLC because I'm willing to try something new already, especially with the slow releases.
Maybe the full chart will sway me... |

I was just thinking the other day that the GHWT version was really undercharted, I assumed they'd do lanes.
But no.
Well done. _________________

I'm not the biggest expert on charting, but slowing that section down to 70% (which I have a clip of), I call bullshit.
Also, on Pro, Your Betrayal is a better choice than Scream Aim Fire, but Tears Don't Fall would have been better. It's not even that hard on its own terms. |
