I read the announcement at work and said to myself, "Are... Are you kidding me?"
Granted, I've never been a very big fan of Hendrix, but even if this was more *Favorite band that already has double digit songs* I would have probably had the same reaction. I'm really craving some different artists, and I know I'm not the only one (this is not so much a complaint as it is a desire :P).
But have fun anyway, guitarists.
Edit: I must add that I would be interested in All Along the Watchtower, but that's it. I'm disappointed regardless. I'm not even going to risk getting burned at the stake by mentioning I like the Bob Dylan version better -hrrck! Gah! *dead _________________

Be quiet, we're finally getting All Along the Watchtower. |

Holy shit after so many years, finally we get All Along The Watchtower. Can't wait to download this all. Although I really hope my all Hendrix FC banner isn't contested for long, it looks so cool lol. |

hiddenzombie013 wrote: | Finally! No more wondering about the other two albums coming out, since we're getting three songs from each, and maybe the live one is from Woodstock (like Fire). Definitely a solid week. I've bought a lot of songs lately, so I'll probably wait for the drum charts to decide if the whole pack is worth it. But finally getting All Along the Watchtower has been SO long in the making. Will definitely get at least that one. |
Judging by the HMX preview vid, the drum charts look TOTALLY worth it. They look much more like the fun, varied, unique charts from Axis: Bold as Love than the "lol I'm gonna hit the snare drum REEEEEL FAST" drum charts from Are You Experienced?
Rest of the charts look pretty great as well. Didn't show any clips from solos, but the guitar authoring looks pretty solid all around, at least from the small amount shown. |

Last week there was Volbeat (and BVB if you didn't know their RBN stuff). 3 weeks ago was Opeth, Trivium, and Starship. 5 weeks ago was Stevie Wonder.
You've been getting new artists... I'm confused why this is an issue. Now, if you're not getting new artists that you're interested in, that's another story. :P
I'm excited. Hendrix's drummer has never let me down, all of his stuff is mad crazy awesome so I look forward to it. No Pro on Voodoo Child is eh, but at least Purple Haze gets a legacy upgrade. _________________
