I know that these kind of threads are kind of lame but I just HAVE to know.

Has ANYBODY contacted/tried contacting Warp Records in regards to the music by the band Battles?

I have to ask because for a while I was big into Frets on Fire and I made/played a handful of songs by them and I have to admit they're among the funnest things I've ever played in my life. If you asked me "which band is made for Rock Band?" I would respond with this group.

I agree, they're a must have. There's only a small handful of bands I'd be more excited to see in the game at this point, and in terms of drumming they may be at the top of the list.

John Stanier is a machine. By modern math rock standards, his drumming isn't the typical constant flurry of fills, but he exhibits amazing control and precision. It's the consistency and the creative syncopation at the core of their songwriting that would make them fun. As far as I know, the (currently released) songs that come closest to capturing that feel are the ones from Garage a Trois (not quite the same genre, but extremely underrated nonetheless, go check 'em out on RBN.)

Mirrored or the early EPs are better-suited for gameplay than their new album Gloss Drop, but I definitely wouldn't mind it if Ice Cream or Sweetie & Shag were to pop up at some point. In my mind they're still a surprise eclectic Harmonix choice rather than a RBN band, but who knows?

I agree that this is something it seems HMX would more likely work on... I've given up hope. Hehe in the back of my mind I get let down every week with something gets released and they're not a part. Seems like RBN might be the best chance =\

I also agree with what you mentioned about the drumming. I think they'd have potential to be some of the funnest stuff to play. The dude has skill though. He's a human metronome or something.

Thanks for the recommendation. If it has a similar feel at all it is gonna be worth buying. I'll check it out tomorrow

Atlas reminds me so much of LittleBigPlanet, and I listened to the song before the game came out.
