So that's two "real guitar" games claiming they can get artists Rockband can't. Why the fuck isn't someone at Harmonix bringing the Squier to every musician they can find? |

If this has a decent set-list, pretty good gameplay and interface and works well for learning guitar it's so much better than RB because of the fact you can use any guitar, but from what the world's seen so far of music games that's a steep hill to climb.
Though it looks like it's definitely got Power Gig beat. I honestly wish this the best of luck though. It would be sweet if it works. _________________

This is a situation where if it works properly and has a badass setlist I'm sold. Unfortunately, this sounds a bit too good to be true. We'll see I guess. |

Ehhh, I have too many questions regarding how it works.
My main worry is that should this take off, it might be the downfall of rock band. Ubisoft would for sure have the funds to advertise it, plus it sounds unique, and it advertises to be revolutionary in the music\rhythm game genre. And of course, this won't be helpful to Rock Band financially. I just have a bad feeling. I'm all for real guitar games, but damn it I like jamming on my plastic instruments, and I wouldn't like Rock Band to suffer a similar fate as guitar hero. |

That looks like The xx on the right. Not too sure about the others, though I think I recognise the one on the far left, and the third one in. I think. The second one looks 60s-ish. _________________

And the first is Yellow Moon Band, took an edited pic and put it into TinEye and got that album cover. That's all of them I guess. _________________

I feel like games like this and PowerGig to have a better shot in some ways of landing some of the big hold outs because they are a fresh face and can claim from the beginning that they are all about real instruments. I would imagine to the lay person and a lot of musicians, the Rock Band name is imbued with plastic instrument gameplay. I won't be surprised if they do land one or two big name artists (like PowerGig did), but I WILL be surprised if this turns out to be a good game. |
