Cool! I liked American Girl in GH5, I might pick it up here. Other than that I'm not a huge Petty fan... might get the Go-Gos for parties... _________________

Only saw American Girl and Refugee so far. The former doesn't look as evil as it does in GH5, but still not a pushover.
Refugee totally hit me as another "know the song but not what it is" moment. That chorus is unmistakable. Unfortunately, there was one strumming part near the end that looks terribly undercharted. Maybe HMX decided to let us off the hook this time? _________________

I'd just like to point out an error here.
"All tracks are also available in the family-friendly LEGO Rock Band Music Store."
That's incorrect, 3 of them are not. These are the ones that are available in Lego:RB:
A Thing About You (Live)
Here Comes My Girl (Live)
Refugee (Live)
Our Lips Are Sealed
Miss Independent

Strange... this says that tracks marked with a " " are available for LRB, and all the songs are in quotes. Oh well. Fixed. _________________

That's just bad copypasting from the announcement - it originally read:
...which was just those that he said up there. _________________

Looks like Miss Independent on drums wins the "most surprisingly awesome chart" award this week. It's not the first time that playing e-drums has translated well (SGG and The Perfect Drug, for example), but it might be the most out of left field.
Also, I really like the version of Refugee that they decided to use. It's fairly close to the original and has a cool call-and-response section with the audience during the second chorus. _________________

Definitely some really good charts and the Tom Petty songs sound pretty close to the originals too. _________________

American Girl's solo is so much easier in GH5 with the tapping notes, I'm terrible at in the RB. _________________

That solo absolutely murdered me.
I can hit 88% at 90% speed but I can't get above 30% at 100% haha.
I should apparently stick to vox. >_> |

Y'know, I might actually have to concede that the live version of American Girl is not as horrible as I was expecting. Maybe if I get hold of some points somewhere along the line, etc. _________________

I'm loving the tom petty songs on guitar. I wish Mary Jane's Last Dance would've been a live recording from one of their Indiana concerts though. The crowd goes nuts. |
