Repost from my topic on the Guitar Hero side with a few tweaks.

Since the vocals community is pretty small in comparison to guitarists/drummers, I've decided to make an IRC channel where vocalists, whether it be their main instrument or not, can just chill out.

For those unfamiliar with IRC, here's how you can join, using mIRC:

1. Download and install mIRC from www.mirc.com
2. Create an account on www.gamesurge.net (optional)
3. Verify your email and take note of your password (optional)
4. Run mIRC and type the following commands:

/server irc.gamesurge.net

Wait until you're connected to the server.

/authserv auth username password
(replacing "username" and "password" with your values, optional, if you registered above)

You should get an automatic response indicating "-AuthServ- I recognize you."

/join #vocalshero

And that's it.

If you can't install mIRC or want to visit #vocalshero without downloading additional software, visit www.gamesurge.net/chat.


First 3 people in the channel get op. :P

Sounds awesome, I'll definitely have to check this out. Great idea to bring our small community that much closer together.
