I have both a 1st and a 3rd generation. (I actually haven't used the 1st generation guitar yet). I'll assume my older guitars I had before I sent them in) were either first or second.
Either way, with my 3rd generation one (the latest, the one with the magnets), it doesn't register all of my insanely fast-strummed notes. Like, if there's a single note that's strummed rapidly, it simply doesn't recognize it.
This theory can be tested in the menu, as well. Just strum up and down constantly. Theoretically, your cursor should never move from the two spots it's hitting. If it does shift either up or downward, then it didn't register a hit.
Anyway, out of the 3 generation guitars, which one is the best for competitive play? I'm getting pissed off when I obviously hit the correct note but lose my combo anyway.

iunno man. I've had having problems with losing my streak while playing with all 3 (I mean I have a 1st my friends have the other two so I don't really play with them often). More notably when we're playing a full band and the drums is on Medium so everything goes slower. |
