Well,

I'm not quite up to 9 mil yet (8.85!), but I can tell you that I started on hard. Being a drummer, I even found hard to be pretty simple.

However, believe it or not, I found expert to be somewhat easier - although my % and # of stars may not reflect that. Although it sounds weird, understand this:
Many of the songs, I was familiar with. Playing on hard, there were notes I was wanting to play that weren't in the hard track. In expert, every (just about) note is there, so everything I hear, I'm playing.

Furthermore, Expert scrolls at a faster speed.

Hyperspeed patch plz.

Hahaha, agreed.

I'm ranked #47 in the leaderboards, (6.9 million) based on my expert score. I gotta go back and replay some of the ones I only sight-read and see how much I can bump it up, but I probably wouldnt move too much. The difference between rank 47 and rank 1 is a little over 3 million :p

I know. Im no pro but I found it a lil bad that we couldnt do fills anywhere.
Many times during a slow part with no drums I wanna keep a bass going.
Or sometimes i play heel down and i wanted to rest my foot wit the pedal down and i didnt on the last bass note so now I have my foot to the side or up and shinburning. Not worth throwin my combo away to rest my foot, etc.

yea, because i am on expert, about the 3rd tier, but i am only around 300 in the leaderboards, so i wondering if it required me to play through easy to get to the top.

Nope, it takes the highest score for a song on any difficulty. So if you get 50k on hard and 60k on medium, it will count the 60k.

I picked up things pretty quick. Started first night on Med/Hard. Then went through Hard Tour the next day. Started playing expert maybe 1-2 days later? I learned the basics pretty quick, but I had no drumming experience coming into it.

Pause the game, press the pedal down, and unpause. Works every time.

This is a good question...I'm ranked around 96 on the leaderboards and I've only done expert. Should I go back and do hard to get higher on the boards? I just recently started going back through the songs with my new *working* kit as my old kit couldn't keep a combo going.

It wouldn't really make sense to do that unless you could get higher scores for the songs on Hard than you got on Expert. Which I suppose might be possible...
