Hey guys, it's been a while since I've been here, just a shame the RB community isn't as good as it used to be.
I have a Portable drum kit from Madcatz for my Xbox and I have a Beatles Drum kit for my PS3. Since I no longer need the pads for the Xbox can I use them connected up to the Beatles kit's cymbal ports and use them as cymbals? The connection is the same but I'm not sure whether it will work.
At the moment my xbox kit is at a friends house so I can't try it just yet, I just thought of this and was wondering if it's worth getting it back to try it. |

Nope, that won't work. The RB cymbals have a little PCB inside that converts the cymbal's piezo signal into whatever it is that the RB kit requires for cymbals. If you can get a hold of some of those chips, you can just wire them in. But without them, it won't work. _________________
