I'm reading the tutorial, but to get started, I need to know where I can find DLC customs. However, if that isn't allowed to be discussed that's ok then.

If by DLC customs you mean premade LIVE files, then yes that's a no-no around here.

But there are plenty of (many lacking vox charts since its time-consuming and tricky) mids in this Software forum if you dig back a few pages. You can set those up as DLC using Mahoppiangoon's Original Tutorial.

Ok, I can't find the stupid RB3 logo. (the one shown here.)

I got my song in the game thanks to this guide!

But I have one problem: It freezes when I try to play it. Is that an error on my part whilst charting it? But I don't think so since I got no errors in magma.

There are a variety of reasons why this could be happening. If you detail the exact steps you took, we may be able to help you, but just saying "it freezes" won't do us much good.

Where is "I try to play it"?

Pre-Setlist is DTA
Setlist is usually Mogg
Anything after loading is the chart.

I hate to sound noobish, but here's my problem:

The 360 sees it as a corrupted file, yet RB3 does add it to the database. This would be fine, but I can't see it in my library.

Ok, I made it as a save file in Le Fluffie, created as a CON File, and injected with modio, what else do i need to make it seen as uncorrupted (or is this how it works?)

For reference, it is a RawkSD exported copy of "Iron Man" from GHI, and before anyone asks, yes, I rebuilt the DLC Live file as a CON.\

Thanx, guys!

If it's not showing up in the library, I'd wager that you didn't create a new songs.dta file for the song using RB DLC Tools.

So, I assume that the Corrupted Icon is normal?

I've never run into the file being corrupted. Are you using the latest version of Le Fluffie and setting the parameters such as the ID numbers correctly? Are you also using RB DLC Tools to generate a songs.dta file? And if you make any changes to your original package, are you remembering to repackage it?

Being corrupt in the dash would be something pertaining to the actual CON.

Try rebuilding it step by step, not forgetting to give it a name and description. Easiest way it to just type the name, hit save title, click the other radio button and press the save title button again.

I did not know that the Description AND the Title needed to be there. I'm trying Trogdor from GHII currently to do this. I'll try it when I get home today and append this post if needed.

Also, I'm someone who likes to know how things work (otherwise it's "magic") and have tried things like this before with other content (which never worked). My other question is this: how is this method different from others that allows unmodded consoles to run them (the SaveFile flag perhaps???)

Thanks!

I don't believe both need to be there (I haven't marked both on mine), but it couldn't hurt.

As far as I can tell, this is the only method that allows unmodded consoles to play custom songs. It's accomplished because RB songs can be CON files (saved game files) just like the songs exported from discs. RB has no problem reading these songs, so it's much easier to package them this way than the "official" way (something about hash tags; I really don't know too much about it).

It's after the setlist, so I'll just double check my chart in magma. Thanks!

EDIT: Strangely enough, the Chart went through magma just fine. Any ideas?
