Having never played the Guitar Hero games and thus never experienced TTFaF, I am interested to finally see what all the fuss is about. 'Specially as my instrument of choice is Pro Keys.

Dragonforce announcement is pretty hilarious. Classic rock is more up my alley but I'll be getting all of it.

Also take this as unsubstantiated rumor for now but apparently they accidentally put up the wrong video on the RB official site initially:

"The video on the blog is playing Joy Division, Grand Funk Railroad and J Geils Band!!

Ok so I go to the blog to see next weeks music but it's playing

Love Will Tear Us Apart
American Band
Freeze Frame! "

So this might be coming next.
If that's the case, that's 2 awesome 3 packs in a row of variety.

Definitely going for the Peace Pack. Dragonforce isn't my cup of tea, but I'll watch the video charts just to see them.

OH WOW GOD NO

1. They better not chart it ala Hangar 18
2. They better force hopos in the strumming. Hopos in strumming on the RB3 engine is glitchy.

But yeah, lolweek and I'm grabbing both DForce songs. We'll see.

I hear ya on both counts, too much strumming during the solos could really decrease the fun factor on them.

Now before people get all "YOU JUST NEED TO GET BETTER!" keep this in mind - I have GS'd Hangar 18 on RB2 and (obviously) have a higher score on it in RB3. This is the case with many songs HMX has charted with forced strums.

It's not a matter of the ability to play the song or keep a combo, it's a matter of how fun it is TO ME.

Well, no, not really. See, with the banana, you have the choice to eat it soon after buying it, avoiding the rotting situation and enjoying some tasty food while it's fresh. The situation with Bat Country, on the other hand, is venting over an inevitability. It's more like "Death, taxes, and 12-year-olds overplaying Avenged Sevenfold songs online."

You are going to die.

HyadesD4 texted me this info when I was in my Theatre class and I just about jumped out of my chair. That being said, there are a good few songs that I would be much more excited to see in Rock Band than these, but the fact that it's Dragonforce, THE Guitar Hero band, is pretty cool. I'm very curious to see how HMX charts this stuff, I look forward to that.

Funny enough, I'm probably most excited about doing TTFaF on harmonies...listening to that again it sounds like it'll be fun as hell! xD

No, it's this coming week, and is exactly what I was going to ask. Maybe we're not in on the joke?

29th is the release date, which is somewhat close to April Fool's Day, and it is on rockband.com...

Next Friday is April Fools, so expect a really silly announcement followed by the proper DLC announcement.

Isn't Spinning Wheel the unofficial 84th or 85th song? and hooray Santana.

I'd say Subdivisions is the unofficial 84th song. Spinning Wheel was just in a trailer for RB3, no doubt they were testing the song when the video was recorded.

Having no interest in Pro Guitar, I'm way more pumped for Operation Ground and Pound (the best song on Inhuman Rampage) than TTFAF (one of the worst songs on Inhuman Rampage).

I kinda wish they'd go for stuff from Valley of the Damned or Sonic Firestorm, but this is still the first DLC in like three months that I'm actually pumped for so FUCK YEAH DRAGONFORCE

Well this is interesting, and will be great party songs, as in WTF THIS ISN'T GH3.
Harmonies and keys on the Dragonforce willl be fantastic.
I'm so not getting drunk this weekend to pay for these.

This week is AMAZING.

I mean, I have to be pumped for DForce, I've been rocking out to them even before those heady GH2 custom days...

Though Somebody to Love (the JA version) and Black Magic Woman were more recent wishlist material, I'm quite glad the former waited until RB3 (gotta have those harmonies). This will be the first week in a looong time, but I'll take the lot!

While I was hoping for a different power metal band to be the first in official DLC, this is awesome and unexpected. Buying everything.

It's about time Santana showed up in the Rock Band music library!

Going to play the crap out of the song when it comes out.

Cool. I'll buy all of these. We must have close to the whole GH3 soundtrack by now.
