Cygnusx1? As in THE four-DT-in-a-shuttle Cygnusx1?
EDIT: oops, and the relevant stuff:
OpenOffice should be able to open a .xls, and is free and available on all platforms. So long as you aren't using any macros in your sheet, which I don't think you are.
EDIT2: Also, you might like this: select all the cells in your header row, then go to data->filter->autofilter. _________________

That auto-filter is unbelievably awesome. You'll now see on the sheet drop-down arrows across the header row, making it extremely easy to see all of Metallica's songs in the game, or look at all 7th tier vocal songs, or the list of songs that will be released when Who's Next comes out. This also kind of eliminates the need to sort the data, which is good, cause that was a pain. Thanks, sideshow.
The OpenOffice site wasn't loading for me, so I haven't gotten a chance to look at that yet. |

No probs. You might want to add a column for any info you are representing purely through formatting: for example, I think you are representing master tracks only by bolding them? If you have a column then it can be filtered the same as everything else.
You know you can select your table and then data->sort...? Sorting shouldn't be a chore!
The OpenOffice site is here. _________________

Good call, done and done. I also grabbed David Bowie and Cherry Bomb difficulties from hiddenzombie's thread (thanks, dude).
The only problem I see with OpenOffice is that I don't know how many people would actually download a program just to look at this thing. *shrugs* The option's there though. |

Well, that's up to them, isn't it You can always do a Save As... and save as HTML. Excel's HTML is a horrific thing to behold, but it will display, just like the sheet does in excel, in any web browser. You will lose the autofilter, but hey. _________________

Man, I just keep learning. HTML page now available in addition to Excel sheet, which can do more, like the amazing filters. |

Didn't look at your Excel sheet (only the HTML one), but here's some confirmation/correction of your decades with stars beside them, according to the game:
Fortunate Son - 1970s
Moonage Daydream - 1970s
Roxanne - 1970s (yours says 80s)
Bang A Gong - 1970s
Queens of the Stone Age - all 2000s
Joker and the Thief - 2000s |

How about a Legend? For instance, what do the different colors represent? What's the dif between bold and standard (OK, I know this already)...etc... _________________

Can do... coming up in first post.
Also, sunshine, thanks much for your help. Anyone that can confirm any genres/decades with stars next to them would be much appreciated. |

Now I have to decide whether to buy songs or the Halo 3 map pack. _________________

Thank you so much. The spreadsheet is absolutely amazing. I will be referring to it very often. Thanks again.
I second Sticky. |
