More later, but uh... wow.
My 2,000th overall Expert FC, Guitar Hero and Rock Band combined. And one of my best without question... top 5 at least. More details later, I have to be a work in 10 minutes <_> _________________

awesome FC
i've been able to play all of the patterns in it for a long time, but i've never even GSed it, because i have such a hard time being consistent with them _________________

BeachShane- ^_^ Thanks man. I thought so too. ;D
ßßßß- I kno d00d
pizzza- I agree with your awesomeness.
megs- Thank you! It's certainly tough to be consistent on. I strummed nearly everything, though, so I think that helped. For me at least, the guy who alt-strummed Hysteria bass
Shado- It's overrated as hell because it was really early DLC, but whatever. I'll gladly take the prestige of this FC without disparaging it. xD
Tyler- Hah. Chop Suey drums might happen though, I've been working on finishing that OMB for awhile. But I haven't so much as picked up my drums in about a month and a half. :P
Karzon- Thanks, I was certainly happy to get something big for the milestone. Some of us need motivation to go for special FCs, because we can't just FC stuff like Packet Flier and YMB every week
Dave- hi
Carl- Yeah, thanks. It would have been nice to get that other song that will remain unmentioned for the time being, but I think you were right that this was at least a more impressive FC, so it turned out well. I wasn't nearly as strong of a reception for BYOB as I've had, lol
Jack- bigcelebration.jpg 8_8
GHF- Always happy to please... wait that sounds awkward
Rich- Haha, hooraaayyy. (clap)

In the Wake of Evolution

Let's see, out of the other stuff, Sleep Now in the Fire guitar was pretty neat. I FCed it the first time I got to the solo, which was pretty cool. If I ever get good and consistent with strum lanes I'll go for KitN, but who knows. That shit's hard. Also, beer is good, and stuff. Home and Public Enemy on bass were both in the tricky-but-not-really-that-hard category. I bought In the Wake of Evolution on a whim after hearing maybe 5 seconds of the preview, so I had no idea what the song was like and it actually took me awhile to get on vox. It took me about 45 minutes to FC, probably deserving of devil-tier.
This Calling was my 1998th FC, dedicated to SteadySphere who FCed it forever ago when it was still cool, lol. He helped me to find a strumming speed between 16ths and triplets for the 3 and 4-note gallops, which helped a lot with consistency. No post-solo chokes, seems to be something I'm good at.
Phantom bass, on the other hand, I found pretty overrated and kinda easy. Once I figured out to alt-strum the three strums in the intro riff it became really simple. The whole song is tricky, so it took some grinding to get the consistency down for the FC, but I got it in under an hour. I'll go for the pack FC and the renewal of my Maiden B/V banner, but just the thought of grinding a 14-minute song frightens me. I haven't had good luck with marathon songs in the past, including some nasty last-minute chokes on 2112 bass, The Who S-Mashup guitar, and Seventh Son bass.
I think I'll be breaking from RB for awhile to focus more on GH, so this thread may go another while without an update. I'm still aspiring to LRB guitar and RB3 bass FGFCs, but I haven't made any significant progress in 6 or 7 weeks, so I guess that would be considered to be on hold. I did buy RB:R today, however, and I'm really interested to explore the vox engine. I've already FCed So Whatcha Want, so at least I know talkies work.
As always, thanks for all the support guys. It's pretty awesome to see such a strong positive response for an FC (and an FC count) I worked pretty hard for. _________________
