|
|
Since we have an accomplishment to get a gold star on each song in Blitz I would like to get some breakdown done.
It means that when someone get the GS on a song he should post what powerups he used or just list a songs and to each song write what powerups will get you most points so you will get GS.
I got only 1 GS yet but not for Blitz song, so I will just list the songs and I want you to post your opinions on the best Powerups for each song (or any other useful hints like what instrument did he play the most or something like that and btw the video of GSing the song will be PERFECT).

I GS'd Pumped Up Kicks with Bandmate/Flame Notes/Super Vocals. No vid though, just throwing it out there. _________________

Shout is arguably the hardest GS in the game. Jackpot/Blast Notes/Super Guitar is the way to go. Save your jackpot for the chord sustains on guitar at the end, and you should end up with around 250k from jackpot. The GS cutoff is around 490k. _________________

I just GS'd Always this evening with that exact same setup, so I agree. Bandmate + Blast Notes + Super Drums is definitely the way to go. Use Bandmate to avoid spending too much time in the left drum lane, since you NEED that time to raise multipliers on vocals and keys (both of which don't get a lot of notes compared to the other 3 instrument tracks).
Shout's chart scares me. That one's going to be a bear to GS for most people I think. _________________

Haha, I gold starred Always on my first try with Jackpot/Blast Notes/Super Bass. Just goes to show there are multiple options. _________________

Here are the three needed for the "Hard Goal Is Hard" Goal. Got all three on my first try with these combos.
Stronger: Road Rage, Blast Notes, Super Vocals

The Wicker Man: Road Rage, Blast Notes, Super Guitar
http://rockband.scorehero.com/blitz_detail.php?id=3443579
Cult Of Personality: Road Rage, Blast Notes, Super Guitar

Shockwave or even Bandmate can be used pretty well in place of Road Rage, but I wouldnt recommend changing the other two. In general the overdrive power up is interchangeable depending on your stype for most songs, but the other two not so much.
Hey if anyone can gold/has golded Super Bad (DLC) what combo did you use? _________________

I have 418k w/ Road Rage/Blast/Super Keys. Not Gold, but its 1st on XBL. I had passed 5* by the second keys solo.
Jackpot miiiight be necessary on a really good keys solo run (which would be really difficult) _________________
