Just submitted my review for FPI, good luck former guitarist!
I fced all but Girls who play guitars on sightread, than got GWPG on the second go around.
This week will most likely end up being who can squeeze/path better. |

I feel it necessary to vocalize that I'm not happy with the way things have been for a few weeks. For as long as I can remember, Npeaen has uploaded the expert guitar videos almost as quickly as they get released. He has always been on top of this and has selflessly dedicated himself to giving everyone the first look at new DLC. Many thanks have been directed toward him and I, and countless others, appreciate what he does.
And it is on that note that I raise this question: why would any one else feel the need to record and upload expert guitar videos? We all know that Npeaen is going to do it, so why even bother? Is this fun for you? Some sort of get-off knowing that you beat Npeaen to the punch so you can have your name edited into the OP for the contributor of the guitar videos?
I don't think it's fair to him. I think it's a slap in the face for all the hard work, time, and money he's put into this. It doesn't sit right with me.
Your thoughts?

I never intended for these announcements to become contests and I appreciate everyone who uploads videos for preview purposes to the community. I don't think anyone gets off knowing that they were first, but a major point of these announcements is to show everyone the charts as soon as possible, and as such, we link the first decent-quality videos posted.
Making this a community effort, there are almost always videos available instantly after release, as opposed to relying on the same person each week (regardless how reliable the person may be). I don't think it's fair to be upset with others spending their own work, time and money to upload videos for us only because someone else has been doing it for a longer period of time.
Let's all just play nice and enjoy the previews! _________________

As far as I know, the in-game music store has never been updated with the new songs right away on the first morning of new DLC. It's always on time (well, mostly... I remember one song being late one time) on the Marketplace, though. _________________

I would like to think I am pretty well-rounded in terms of the music I listen to, but I do not have a clue what ANY of these freakin' songs are. This is a pretty weak week for me...
They followed up a fun week with a clunker. I'm wondering if it is some sort of marketing thing. Is it just me? |

My opinons:
Overall: I could honestly listen to any of these for 3 hours and not get sick of them. One of the best weeks ever, at least musically.
Guitar:
ACS- I for get the exact reason I didn't FC this, but I have no problem with playing it again to FC
B&G- Sightread FC, but still enjoyable. (I need a better path, leftoverdrive sucks)
GWPG- Tricky chord switches, but not to the point where the song is annoying to play (as in: Main Offender) and I enjoy an eglish song where the singer has an accent, so A+ out of 10
MtS- Sounds Paramore-ish, but that isn't a problem. Fun guitar chart, but then again I'm not the kind of person who plays a song like Perfect Insanity or Thrasher once a week. _________________

I wasn't really looking forward to this week at all since I didn't recognize any of the music. Surprisingly though I really enjoyed Moving to Seattle and A Clean Shot musically and playing on guitar and bass. The other two though are forgettable in my opinion. |
