Hello everybody. I have decided to give up playing Guitar Hero and Rock Band. I have some things to say, so I figured the best place to put them would be here in my Rock Band accomplishment thread.

It has been a fun three years playing Guitar Hero and Rock Band, and an even more fun year and a half here on scorehero, but I am giving up Guitar Hero and Rock Band. They both have helped me become a better guitarist and musician. They have given me a love for the Rock genre and music in general. After hearing a song over and over again, you start to think, "hey, that little lick sounds pretty neat," or "I never noticed that little harmony in the third verse." It also peaked my curiosity in guitar solos and shredding. I can honestly say that thanks to guitar hero, I can strum over 16.66 notes per second on a real guitar. Rock Band also pretty much taught me how to play drums (that and my prior musical knowledge).

The reason I am giving up Guitar Hero and Rock Band is that I have gone as far as I could with it. As I have said, it has helped so much with guitar, but I'm at a standstill, and I don't see it ending, so instead of forcing my self to improve, I am moving on. I am switching completely to guitar (real guitar). I have recently started a band, and it seems like we can really go somewhere if we try, and Guitar Hero and Rock Band just seem to get in the way., so I'm selling all the GH and RB games and equipment, and buying a better guitar than the piece of crap that I currently play. I will miss playing, although I must say, play guitar and singing in a band is so much more fun than any version of Guitar Hero or Rock Band, and playing in a real gig doesn't even compare.

Well scorehero, keep on rockin'. Thanks for everything.

Awesome job! I'm sure if you concentrated more on one instrument (especially guitar) you could climb up and get a few tougher FCs, since it seems like you're very good at it.

Out of curiosity, what songs do you have left for guitar to FC?

Well, I play on PS2 so I have no full speed practice mode. Luckily, I have A Wii (got it after I got RB2 for PS2) so I'll borrow my freinds copy of RB2 so I could practice some of the more difficult songs.

And I updated ^^^^

what the PS2 is a decent practice mode. I'll try it. See if 70% speed alone will do it.

EDIT: NOT GONNA HAPPEN.
