PLEASE NO REQUESTS!!! THEY DON'T DO ANY OF US HELP!!!!
in case anyone missed it, here's all the info on rockband customs: http://rockband.scorehero.com/forum/viewtopic.php?t=9189
ALso: how to chart with KRMaker: http://rockband.scorehero.com/forum/viewtopic.php?t=9872
How to get your drum charts working: http://rockband.scorehero.com/forum/viewtopic.php?p=210148#210148
because i have seen some people who have actually made rockband customs, i thought it would be a great idea to ask everyone who HAS made them to please post it here. This is mostly for the convenience of everyone, so please nothing without some kind of save file.
-info and song details appreciated (that is, if you don't want to keep us guessing )
People! now offering openings to anyone who will ONLY chart drums & vox songs from previous games:

OP: While we still don't have an official stance on this, I would guess that it would be fine under certain conditions:
1. You have to start from scrath and cannot use any midi data from the previous games, ie bpm syncing, lighting, other events, etc.
2. There must be absolutely no guitar or bass data in the file.
If you follow these guidelines, i'm sure there wouldn't be any problems with it, as nothing from previous games would be distributed, but just to be safe, we reserve the right to remove anything that we feel should not be allowed. |

I'm hoping to see a lot of full customs (all difficulties, all instruments), or else i have a feeling i'll only be playing mine. Anyone else planning on doing vocals and all difficulties? |

All difficulties I'll be doing eventually and vocals too (or getting someone to do them lol). It's hard to find time doing ~3 songs a week. If anyone wants to help by doing a song they like/know, that'd be great.
And since I'm more or less tone deaf, I can only do vocals with talky parts.
Around the 17th is when I'll start going back and doing other difficulties and adding in missing stuff. _________________

Yeah, it does take a lot more time than just doing the guitar hero customs.
The only reason I say this is because if the standard is set high at the beginning, I think we'll have less of a chance of finding crappy charts, as I think we can agree that some guitar hero charts were shotty at best. I'm not one to judge cause my first few were garbage, and it just takes time.
From what I've seen with the users who are posting here, they are consistent chart makers with quality charts. The only reason I like having all difficulties and all instruments is because there were too many times where I was playing guitar hero with friends and saying "oh this song doesnt have coop, oh this song doesn't have easy or medium." Just became a pain, so I'm only going to be creating full custom charts and discs that are only full customs as well. I'm sure there are others out there who agree with me and others who don't see it the same way, thats just life I guess.
By starting with quality charts and charters, we can eliminate the slippery slope of going from full customs down to guitar, drums, and bass expert only.
And I'll be the first to admit that vocals are much, much more difficult to do than guitar, bass, or drums. It just takes some practice. |

Just a suggestion, why not swap them? Most of us don't own a (working) DBP, so why not let us be able to GS the songs that we don't need one for? _________________

If you get the chance to put any of these customs into the game or into dB please record a video or tell me what you think of them in dB.

couple requests:
Chevelle: Comfortable Liar off of the Wonder What's Next Album. (I'm extremely curious as to why I never see this one as a custom, it's a great song!)
Travis Barker Remix of Flo Rida: Low (this has to be a drum custom if anything!)
not familiar with the later, here's a link:

please DO NOT request here. no one appreciates it, and pretty much no one's going to help you out. i'm sure you're perfectly capable of doing the yourself, and not clogging up this thread. If you want, you may reserve your last post for your own custom songs, when you get them done. for now, just keep requests to yourself. as you can tell, there is only an extremely minor amount of people working on customs, and i'm sure they would appreciate recognition for their work, not constant need for more of thier work. _________________
