Could be a cool idea I think. I'm checking out the link now. As long as it might seem fun and interesting, might be worth doing.
Also I don't think there is any problems with playing the songs, since your not giving them away and your not posting it on a site that might be rules against that. _________________

Listening now, reserving this space for the review.
Before I do listen however, this is a VERY good idea, but I think you will need more then just you, as opinions vary from person to person. I don't recommend over 3 or 4 people however, as then it will probably extend the limit beyond what people want to hear in terms of a review. _________________

I've been getting a few people saying that, but I have mixed opinions on that. For one, as I mentioned, I'm not keen on the chart review becoming the highlight of the show, because there will always be disagreement on such a thing, and I'd rather not make myself out to be some sort of authority-figure.
Additionally, I recorded this using a very strict script, and would rather not have to ad-lib. I'm not good at it, and I don't want this to become a stumbly mess.
On top of that, I have a hard time to stick to a schedule, since the times I get to record vary heavily. Not to mention that recording with someone else online tends to kill the sound quality a bit, which I'm not a fan of.
Also, not to slight anyone on the site that might want to help out (or make myself sound egotistical), but I'm not sure working with other people would do anything to make the show better. It's hard to make things work with a lot of people. How many radio shows on actual radio do you hear with four hosts? How many of those are any good?
What I'd be more welcoming to is to have people email me with their thoughts on the previous week's DLC, and I can read a few of them on the air.
(Or, maybe I'm just fooling myself and I'm actually a control freak. Who knows.) _________________

Oh, it's not a chart-review show? Hm... Let me listen to it completely and see (or hear, as it were) how I like it.
The format of this "pilot" isn't in that way, but it has been suggested to me to do it that way. I'm not sure I like the idea, but if more people wanted it to be like that, I'd have to please my um...fans? _________________

Well, I enjoy listening to the music, but you sound too much like you are reading from a script (or even from Wikipedia). I DO enjoy the information, but it just sort of feels like I'm being lectured more then told. I guess what I'm saying is I'm not really getting that entertaining vibe coming off of you, almost as if you sound a tad bored with doing it. I do think you should continue this, and regardless of whether or not you do charting reviews or the simple music reviews, both of which are good ideas, you need to kind of get a little more excitement into it, if you know what I mean.
Other than that, a very good program and I enjoyed it. _________________

Thanks for the input.
I was reading directly from a script, so I guess I didn't hide that too well. :P I'll have to think of ways to make it sound like I'm a bit more interested in what I'm talking about, because I definitely am. (Although, admittedly, The Knack is a very very very very very very very very very very very very very very very boring band, and that segment was definitely disappointing to research) _________________

I hope you plan to stick to it longer than say, your blog...
For the week or so you were engaged, you posted useful stuff, but you obviously got bored of it really quickly.
SHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHH.
Honestly, between me coming down with lyme disease, and running out of interesting ideas a LOT quicker than I expected, that went down the drain really fast. I might revisit it soon, though. _________________

Don't underestimate the effort. Committing to a weekly broadcast takes quite a bit of time and research.
Having a built-in topic every week would definitely help keep you moving though. I think you should go for it. It's interesting material, for sure. _________________

Yeah, I definitely know how rough stuff like this would be. Honestly, this is kind of a personal goal, as well, because you really did hit a rather correct thing about myself. I'm not sure I can keep myself to a strict schedule, but dammit, I'm going to keep trying until I can force myself to do it. I guess you could say this is a personal endeavor.
Maybe I'm setting my goal too high as a 48 hour turnaround, but I need to kickstart something, y'know? _________________
Hate to re-iterate, however, if you want it to sound less scripted, two or three (maybe just one) other people/person would certainly help with that. Anti-stumbliness is what 'post' is all about.

I'm still not really keen on the idea of grabbing people from the internet for a few different reasons, but a thought just popped in my head to do it with a guy I know IRL. I could grab another mic and we can record together. The catch would be that he doesn't play RB, and would have a total outside-looking-in perspective on the songs being put in RB.
Think that'd be a good idea? It's just something that popped into my head, kind of a stream-of-consciousness idea.
EDIT: Also, I do plan on fixing my enthusiasm levels, even if it means 50 takes per sentence. The most exciting part of this process is actually recording, and I don't mind spending hours on the process. I may need to come up with alternate means to have more time to record, but I think I can arrange that. _________________
