|
|
I'm just curious, but is there any comparatively easy way to extract the audio of a song from the PS2 Rock Band games and make it into an mp3 file?
I have Rock Band 1, Track Pack Vol. 1, and AC/DC backed up on my computer, as well as ArkTool.
Each song has the following files (I will be using Hells Bells as an example):
gen
. hellsbells_live_weights.bin (Not sure what this is)
hellsbells_live.mid (Note chart, I assume)
hellsbells_live.pan (Not sure what this is, either)
hellsbells_live.pss (Probably the video file)
hellsbells_live_p70.vgs (Practice mode's version of the song audio at 70%)
prev_hellsbells_live.vgs (Preview audio in song selector)
What steps need to be taken to successfully make a simple audio file an MP3 player can understand?

discussion of this is frowned upon.
however, there IS a tool that will let you do it. the audio is interleaved (muxed) with the PSS video file.
PSSinject to get the audio, then rocklib will allow you to convert it. afraid to give out more detailed instructions, but i promise you the information can be found in these forums. |

I'm sorry, I did not know that this was a topic to not talk about, I hardly go on these forums...
I'll try to avoid making topics like this again.
