Chords changes

Ive played guitar hero and rockband guitar for a long time and gold stared 44 songs. but I CANNOT hit fast chord changes! patterns like and I always just end up holding down three notes and its stopping me from GS'ing MAIN OFFENDER. is practice the only way to get better or is there a strategy

It just comes with time and practice. You've got to develop finger independence, especially with ring and pinkie fingers.
