Yea, I did it. I put a ps2 guitar, inside a 360 strat, WITH the 360 controller working also!!! Yep, it does BOTH! 360 controller is wired, and the ps2 is wireless. At least I found a use for the battery pack!

Outside

What is left

Overview

Strum wiring, and tilt sensor wires spliced

Spliced the fret button wires

Circuit board overview

Circuit board close up

Battery Wires

Diagram (No whammy support in this diagram because I don't have it in my guitar)

Let me know if you need any more info.

i basicly ran them in parallel, but I'll get some pics up. It wasn't that hard, Just had to figure it out. They are set up the same way. Hopefully I'll get a vid of it being played on the ps2 also.

It's still the stock strat strum. I fixed it,, but I love it. Quiet is good. Even the buttons are quiet now. Can't get better than that.

A thing of beauty! I'd love something like that as I have a PS2 at home and often play on my friend's XBox. But alas, I have no skill in electronics.

I don't have either system, but my friend ha both. I use it for the PC, and I love it. I'd so do it again. I haven't tested it on the ps2, but it would only make since that it worked, because of how it is wired. I'll let you know how it works later. If it doesn't work, I'm SURE that I can make it work.

That's really cool... wonder if you could do that with the Les Paul for 360, so you'd have a strat that works in both RB and GH...

Great mod and tutorial.

You should load up GH2 (or 80's) or Rock Band on a PS2 on one TV and Rock Band 360 on another TV and play both at the same time. Although the note charts aren't the same you could play War Pigs or Synchronicity II on both or if you get a copy of RB for the PS2 you could play any song.
I'm not quite sure what would be the point of this, but this is the first guitar that is capable of such a feat. Fantastic stuff!

Lol. THAT would be weird. Anyone need any more info?

edit: Yea, I think that any 2 (or more if they fit) controllers will work. Just think of both of them using the same hardware, and sharing it. That's all there is to it. I would do this if I had another guitar. That would be sweet.

Didn't notice a difference at ALL!! I actually asked myself that. Everything added weighs next to nothing.
