They have something planned. They moved the NIN pack to last week from Mar 18th. I wonder what they're doing.... _________________

Never been that much of a Dead fan, but this pack has been very fun to play.
Especially Franklin's Tower and Sweet Magnolia, each song i played at least 5-6 times in a row.
Vocals will take some getting familiar with, drums i have not peeked at yet.
Bass is ok |

Don't particularly like Grateful Dead, but I downloaded Franklin's Tower and China Cat Sunflower because I was told they were very fun on guitar. I was not lied to, but China Cat is hard as fuck too. Gold-starred Franklin's Tower on a sightread, but still fun. _________________

yeah I'm not really digging this DLC. I mock-played with my Fender, to these youtube videos and only Truckin' seemed like fun to play on guitar. I guess I can't download these as singles? But I thought it was going to be a 6 song pack? |

Final effin lee
and soon to be opinion thread from hell......
Oldie but a goodie-
Why does the Grateful Dead have 2 drummers? answer at the bottom.
Something for old farts like me yeah. I think it's GREAT RB even considered putting out Dead tunes for dlc. It will expose many, many kids in the games main age demographic to music they might never have heard except for Casey or Truckin in movie soundtracks.
Be patient thrash will come I guess, I'm not so sure something was delayed because of this. You could say they delayed it to put out the punk pack too. Or Oasis. Yeah more Ramones (sarcasm). I like the Ramones, saw them in their heydey and the charts will always be extremely similar. These should have some variety.
Actually I'll digress here...It would be great if RB did some songs from "live" albums sometimes. Something with extended solos and jams would be great. The Dead fits that to a "T". When we jammed Franklin's Tower, it was never less than 9 minutes long with about 7 solos. Good times if the guitar player is a real gunslinger.
So as much as I want a 19 minute Dream Theater medley of the jam sections of 10 of their songs as well as slipping in Pink Floyd and Rush, this will be fun and different from most of the other dlc so far. Ex-hippies get something FTW. Peace and Love dudes.
answer: In case one of them falls asleep! (ducks and runs away)
edit: think of it this way, with the Dead DLC out of the way maybe the Thrash stuff comes quicker now. Unless they delay it for an entire Who album or something Someone mentioned March 18 as NIN release date, what's the best site for dlc release dates?
Edit #2 - I'm obviously biased so if I said these songs were fun and the drums are quite challenging you wouldn't believe me. These songs are fun and the drums are quite challenging. Truckin' drums made me hit pause during a OD fill, breath heavily, shake my head, resume and go R+B R+B R+B over and over and over and over, you get the point. And every DeadHead knows ya gotta medley China Cat with I know you Rider but now i'm just being picky. _________________

How stoned do you have to be to not realize you have two drummers?
/I'm digging these tracks for the most part though. _________________

I'm uploading Bass Expert videos to Youtube now. I'll edit this post as they become available.
I'm going to start trying to get videos of the bass parts up as early as possible when new DLC's released... save Npeaen a bit of work.
Casey Jones, Bass: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=fOPDvXiLIdg
China Cat Sunflower, Bass: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=kgsC--aRhwM
Franklin's Tower, Bass: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=pOPpcLNIHyM
I Need A Miracle, Bass: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=_c8g7gQ0KHE
Sugar Magnolia, Bass: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=_GnnatjOccQ
Truckin', Bass: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=FghMfVeVvJ4
Edit: And, Npeaen got all his bass videos up before mine finished... ah well, that's 2 sets to choose from. _________________
