How come there are notes charted during the Big Rock Endings? I mean, I'm sure they're in the data files you extracted, just curious if they mean anything. (Maybe they're not in all of them; I'm looking at Foreplay/Long Time expert guitar at the moment.)

My theory is they're what would be there if the BRE wasn't.

Can anyone explain this a little? How do you know if it lasts 16, 32, or 64?

Depends on the song. Songs that have a really slow tempo tend to have OD last half as much, i.e. I'm So Sick, while songs with an extremely high tempo tend to have OD last for the 64 beats, i.e. 2nd solo in GGaHT. Most songs have a full bar lasting 32 beats, but the only way to tell if it does so or not is just play the song. There is no way to determine how fast OD will deplete from the note chart. Also please put this week's DLC up, I really wanna path Devour

Thanks ajanata for this wonderful resource

EDIT: Just to let you know, I noticed a typo, Dawn at the Whiskey is supposed to be Down at the Whiskey

These charts are awesome, and play a vital part in pathing. Keep up the good work.

The site seems to be down at the moment, however.

The site is down at random times. Just because someone said it was down 10 days ago doesn't mean it's been down the whole time inbetween because it's down for you too.

New feature: HOPO notes are drawn slightly shorter. This takes the game-wide default window into account, any per-song override, if there is one, and any forced strum/hopo information as introduced in RB2.

"Bodhisattva" is misspelled on the chart listing page. I don't think that matters too much, but it should be easy to fix.

Oy, I thought I fixed that a long time ago. REALLY fixed it now. The images will continue to have the misspelling until I decide to remake the images for that song... I might do that with the next batch if I remember.

I wanna say thank you very much for the help you have given with these charts. I use them when I path, and it has made me into a really good pather (I think)

One thing I have a question for, though. Is there a possibility to have something in your charts telling whether or not the OD lasts twice as long in comparison to the chart? For example, Ramblin' Man's chart is correct, however, it seems that 1 entirely full bar of OD (pick up 4 OD's) lasts 16 measures instead of the usual 8 measures. Is there a way to have a notice for such?

Again, though, thank you very much. I wouldn't do well without these.

chart index pages wrote:
The .mid BEAT track is displayed on every chart. The game uses this to determine how long Overdrive lasts. A full bar of Overdrive always lasts for exactly 32 BEAT track beats. Most of the time this is 16, 32, or 64 noteboard beats, depending on tempo. Sometimes, it isn't (see the first break in Foreplay/Long Time for an example). I don't see the two events in the BEAT track doing different things in the gameplay (perhaps different stage lighting or something but nothing that matters for pathing), so I've drawn them all in the same color. If it isn't obvious, you want to look at the small red lines above every set of lines (this also makes a nice seperator for multi-instrument parts). Note that this DOES NOT affect whammy rate, only usage rate. Whammy is always based on noteboard beats.

I try to cover all of the bases on those indexes, but I do understand not wanting to read a wall of text.
