Downstrumming Blackened

I have no clue how many people do this, but I downstrum the entire thing with little to no difficulty. Granted, I downstrum the hell out of everything that comes my way. But still, I do this and get about 190k every time I play it.

Am I the only person who does this, or this more like NotB where everyone downstrums for rhythm and etc.?

I altstrum Blackened. I use ho/pos wherever possible in the NotB intro (in GH3 I altstrum it).

I downstrum, but only because I can only alt strums rhythm passages that feature minimal changes. I find it very painful and stressful for me forearm to downstrum Blackened however which more often than not leads to my failure at it.

I HO/PO this part of NotB. I can't do the rest of it, I get thrown off rhythm.

As for Blackened, try using an Xplorer, or something with a loud strum bar. I have no problem with it then.

I downstrum all of number of the Beast except HO/POs and I downstrum all of Blackened. Got 212k on it. Number of the Beast I have 223k

Yeah, It get's tiring, but I downstrum the part of blackened that is the GR zigzag thing, altsrumming the triplets. I altstrum the easier to fret string of Gs to let my arm recover...

I would alt-strum it. With how many strums you do in a second my arm would be totally worn out. Once it slows down near the solo, I would down-strum everything but HO/POs.

I alt-strum Blackened and NotB. So much less tiring for me than down strumming the whole thing.

My strumbar finally gave out while I was trying to do this... luckily my RMA arrived only a day after
