How exactly does one get enough money in RB to buy one of these expensive guitars? I've beat the game on Hard in solo and still have almost no cash. Is there somewhere I can see the breakdown of $ earned per song for a 5/4/3 star performance? Also does playing in a band tour pay you a lot? |

the endless setlist is an unlock where you and your band members (not quite sure if you can attempt solo) play all 58 tracks in Rock Band... one after the other, after the other, after the other and so on... etc. _________________

I spent a little bit of money on some of guitars and clothes in the first week or so after RB came out and never spent another dollar up until about three days ago. I've played single player songs like mad, netting $180 each time (I think) and slowly worked my way to over $80k. I was bored the other day and went ahead and bought the Goat's Head guitar. Too bad it's just too hideous to actually use. |

if my facts are correct, which i believe that they are, after you do most of the world tour you are invited to play at the hall of fame, and you play the "Hall of Fame Inductee" show, and after you beat that, it unlocks the endless setlist.
any1 care to verify? _________________

That and you have to have at least 600 stars to unlock the Endless Setlist. I just finished it and bought my goat head. _________________

Unlike in GH, you get money each time you play a song. So if you keep playing, you'll eventually get enough money.
Playing in a band only helps inasmuch as you continue to play more songs (not counting special events like corporate events that pay you double or triple the money). Doing the Endless Setlist only helps because (again) you're doing more songs.
Difficulty doesn't matter, but the later tier songs pay more. The opening songs pay $5 per star; the final songs pay $60 per star. |

DLC is my bread and butter, especially for new characters since the songs are there right off the bat. Each DLC tune pays out like a third or second-to-last tier song, around $150. |

Nodnod. Bonus songs and DLC are a straight $30 per star no matter what "Tier" they're rated.
But at the same time, there are at least a couple 'fluff songs' in the last couple tiers for each instrument. If you can Gold Star anything on the last two tiers, it's good for $360, the best out-of-world-tour cash you can rake in (and probably the best ratio song-for-song).
Myself, I'd rather have The Grave. I think that's what it was, anyway, as it's the high-end "bass exclusive" guitar. It's worth spending $15K to have something that only a half-dozen other people on the planet would bother to get. ANYONE can buy a bomb or a Goat Head. |
