Like I said..now that it is playoffs..I had to bring it. I didn't want you guys at the top of the leaderboards to think I was a pushover...
The competition in this playoff is pretty severe...and squeezing annoys/comfuses me. I must have FCd that stupid song 10+ times..and 1 time I get over 188k. All the other attempts I couldn't even hit above 187.5k. I don't understand the squeezing mechanics. _________________

Squeezing relies on two factors:
a) your ability to activate OD as late as possible
b)your accuracy in your pitch on the phrase your OD will end on
The first part is easy once you get the hang of it, but its the second factor that can make or break you. The more accurate your pitch, the more of the pie you fill up. the more of the pie you fill up during OD, the more extra points you get. You could have 3 different runs where OD will run out in the EXACT same place but have 3 different scores because one you hit perfectly, one you hit okay, and the other you absolutely bomb (granted, you are still hitting awesomes, its just the part under OD that you arent doin so hot on) _________________

Are we certain on point b? The reason I ask is because that is what I originally thought...so I would cruise through under OD and then really, really, really concentrate on that last phrase under OD to maximize my score. My scores kept going down. Maybe I was doing worse from repeated tries..I dunno.
Finally, I just decided to focus on filling the bar as fast as possible on ALL phrases under OD....suddenly my scores went up.
I dunno...it just seems flaky. I swear I sing these the same way every time, and fill up the bar almost the same everytime..but my score will easily fluctuate 500 points or more from one take to another.
One thing I did have to do was turn off dolby digital support. The moment I did that, my scores went up...as the microphone lag diminished quite a bit. _________________

Actually, I've only got Tuesday night to work on this. Too much other stuff happening in my life. |
Darn! And just when I got a good score and wanted to see if you could beat it! Haha _________________

I know I am. I remember doing certain songs for league and getting as much as 200-300 points more on a phrase by filling it more under OD (granted, im on Hard, so I dont know how that would translate to expert) _________________
