Based on PS2 rankings, Serges opponent dsahagian posted 161,775 and 164,575 on 3/14. His willingness to post those suggest 164,575 is his final score, so I'm going to unofficially call that one for Serges with 95% precincts reporting.
Bracket Updated
My opponent hasn't posted a score on Orange Crush since Dec 28th, so nothing to speculate on. Jerrid will let us know as soon as he gets here I'm sure.
Serges vs Darin, that should be a hell of a match. Good luck to both of you. _________________

lol, just watch as it was a clever ruse designed so that I gave up after beating his posted score, then BAM! 166k with full doule-squeezes.
Or, I finally get to throw down against a Thomas. either way _________________

aw I hate seeing my name in red on the bracket, it makes me feel defeated (maybe because I was?) _________________

Nothing's official for another 11 hours or so, sam, so don't feel defeated.
Until noon.
Besides, how cool must it be to have bracket-busted this far? From 3rd alternate to the Elite 8. I applaud your chutzpah. _________________

Official results are up fellas. Scores from this and previous rounds and included now too. Congrats to the winners again. Looks like it's gonna be a good old fashioned 1-2-3-4 finish.

Man, I just took a couple test runs of DFTR. I have some serious work ahead of me to even sniff the 1st place score you already posted nivlac. That section during the guitar solo just eats me alive. Time for more practice. _________________

Had some pretty good runs today, I feel semi-comfortable with the score I have submitted.
I hope Darin blows his posted high score out of the water... _________________

Only thing I have to say is..... I'm screwed! ROFL. Maybe if I blindfold myself and "use the force"...?!?
This will be one of those songs I never play again, because I will be playing tomorrow night after work through Tuesday. Practice mode, career, non-stop till I can at least post a worthy score. I might need something to punch and jab a stick through nearby for the TV's sake.
and yes sam; the OD path I used on Orange Crush was using OD everytime it came up. _________________

I was boned - it took FOREVER to even get my FC - I had to goto Wal-Mart in Vegas, buy a drum kit for $80, and the f***ing thing barely worked!
no amount of tape, or anything could get this EL? version to respond right.
the bass drums was awful, and the pads were awful, not registering hits.
after 3 hours or so, i just kept my score and said fuck it.
good job raunch, i had a feeling in my gut after seeing nivlacs first bracket we'd meet, and it would be a good one.
Darin - I think you might be meeting your maker here this round, but good luck to you too. and since it's St. Patty's day, maybe you should give it a go today, or the luck might run out. _________________

Ahhh, that sucks you had such trouble getting a set working jerrid. Good match though for sure, I was a bit worried seeing as the other 3 posted scores were above mine. I obviously over thought my path too much.
I'm making some headway on DFTR. I'm getting better at that section during the guitar solo since I changed up my sticking pattern for it. Hopefully I can give nivlac a run for his money, but I don't have a ton of time to play before Wednesday. We shall see. _________________

DFTR maranoth starts 1 hour from now.... I will not rest untill I have a satisfactory score to leave this tourny on lol. Just can't keep the rhythm of the rrrrG+O rrrrG+O rrrrrrG+O etc. I'm trying to hit it like this (left, right, left, left, right etc) hitting the last 2 reds in each section both with left hand and then right hand on the G+O.... this is all fine and dandy on PS2's slow practice (70% is only speed offered). But when I'm playing for a score, all hell breaks loose including my combo. But... in 1 hour I start my looooong night into the morning sun of playing ONE song only... a song I dont like to play at that, so lets see if the kit holds up (bass pedal has a crack on both sides, however that is from frustrated abuse-stomps lol, it's still workin it's magic after 2 months of some serious drum sessions!) _________________

Yep, that's exactly how I started hitting it. LRLLR. Then for the longer ones LRLRLLR. Always hitting the last 2 reds with the left hand. Before I was doing standard RLRLR and just couldn't get the rhythm down.
I can get some decent streaks going during that section now, but I have yet to combo through the whole thing. There's only 2 parts in the song I don't think I'm capable of hitting at this point, its just of matter of getting that 1 awesome run where it all comes together.
Good luck with your marathon session Darin, I think we're going to need some luck if we're going to beat Serges and nivlac. _________________
