Nothing here that totally gets me OMG SLOBBER AHOY worked up or anything... but there are some tracks of interest here - and hey, so long as they keep on cranking out the DLC week in and week out, I ain't one to much complain. _________________

Sweet Home Alabama would be PERFECT for this game.
(Hint Hint Harmonix!) |

On the calendar (March 14), what does it say about Guitar Hero III? I could see one of the squares with it. |
I think it says something like, "surrenders to Rock Band and re-enters fetal position."
Anyways, a couple definite buys for me:
Simple Man
Message in a Bottle
Wrathchild (pending the quality of the cover- isn't the 80's one supposed to be bad? I just listened to it and wasn't grossly offended by any means- I'd gladly take that over Limelight, Tom Sawyer, NotB, or Ten Speed any day)
If the Wrathchild cover turns out to be bad, either Fuel or Supernaut. Maybe I'll pick up the thrash songs if they're a buck or look fun on drums.
This is great news for me, it allows me to pass up Siva and save my money for the great March we're going to have. _________________

Metal pack is nice. Someone needs to send Harmonix a memo that there are OTHER metal bands though, even if Sabbath and Maiden are great. Might get Simple Man too, seems like a neat rocking tune. I don't 'get' NIN at all, and that thrash is REALLY average, shame really with all the great thrash bands there has been. I'll get them if the charts look nice. |

Hell no. Best Maiden cover to date. Granted, it's covering Paul D'ianno, whom is quite a bit easier to emulate than Ol' Bruce.
They finally got some heavier metal, although not the greatest, not bad. The Evile one almost sounds good even.
NIN is good, in most ways. I never really thought of him having 4 songs on the game, but I was never a big fan of his anyway.
Sabbath/Maiden/Metallica pack...best pack so far, perhaps. Wrathchild is pretty much the reason I bought GH80s. In Fuel, the "oooh, ye-heh" is really awesome, so is the riff, the drums, and pretty much everything. I agree, one of the best post-thrash Metallica songs. I don't think I've ever heard Supernaut though...
They could have had a better Skynyrd pack, though (yes, That Smell). Message in a Bottle? One of my least played songs on GH2. I don't even know the other song.
Solid selection. I'll probably get them all, unless for whatever reason I don't have sufficient funds. |

The best part about Fuel is that from 3:40 or so...it sounds like Ryu's stage from Street Fighter II. |

Hehe, that NIN pack reminded me why I never listened to them, they suck. Probably won't pick up the Thrash pack either, sounds like crap. Maybe if the charts are good, I might. But Shooting Star, Simple Man (I REPEAT, SIMPLE MAN!!!!!!!!!!), Message In A Bottle, and the Metal pack are all great! I'll be going a little bit broker those two weeks. =D
I do agree though, while a leak is always nice, I'd still like to know what's coming the month we're currently in, not the one after... _________________

the lynyrd skynyrd song is really good. better than gimme three steps or whatever the first DLC by them was. and i was really hopin they'd put fuel in. that is definitely my most wanted metallica song (not my favorite song, but definitely the most fun to play). i also think its cool that they're gonna put the master or message in a bottle in, it shows that they're not just gonna be lazy and put in their old chart from GH2. if this is true, i'll tip my hat to harmonix |
