All 80 players: Black Hole Sun due Tuesday at 7 PM. We are seeing a sharp increase of non-score submissions and dropouts, so I postponed it to get a plan as to what to do for the rest of the season.

It will work like this:
General Information
8 conferences, with 8 people in each conference, randomly determined by a number generator.
The songs will consist only of those that were included in the game...unless everybody has universal DLC...and will all be picked randomly, one per matchup. The songs will be the same for everyone, and will be played on expert. No song will be picked twice. The songs will be announced three days prior to the start of the actual match and will be playable while they are announced, but results cannot be submitted until the matchup officially starts. Results should be submitted to me by PM. much like ScoreHero's leagues, I go by the honor system, and unless a score looks physically impossible, I will most likely not question it.

Most importantly, The system you are using does NOT matter. Also, When submitting scores, please list, in order: user/teamname of your opponent, score, and (if you wish) percentage and streak..

Regular Season Schedule Starts February 1st
The schedule would start February 1st with the first 18 days being filled with 9 non-conference matchups, also randomly determined, one every 2 days.
From the 19th to the March 8, there will be 7 in-conference matchups. This will determine the seedings for the conference tournaments.

Conference Tournaments Starts March 9th
From March 9th to March 17th, the conference tournaments will take place, seeded 1 through 8, and will be single elimination. Songs will be selected like before. No byes will be granted unless more than 8 people are in the conference (which will only happen if more than 64 people sign up)

SH Tournament (Starts March 20th)
After that is when the REAL fun begins, as I will go through the regular season records and fill out the bracket. 6 rounds, 3 days per round, single elimination. The way the seeds will be determined are going to generally work like they would in college basketball, with things like non-conference schedule, how you ended the season, etc. And people who faced each other in the regular season will not play each other until at least the sweet 16 But everyone who signs up makes the tournament...that is, unless we have more than 65 people. Then there will be drama. The champion shall be hereby recognized as the undisputed #1 overall in the "polls."

Here is an approximate formula on how the bracket will be created/seeded:
30% record
20% record in last 10 games
15% average scoring margin per week
15% out-of-conference record (Conference record will be used for 65-80)
10% run into conference tournament
5% Weeks scoring most amount of points
5% Weeks winning closest matches

i would love to join... but might be a little while to get 64 people though so just as a suggestion you should probably go down to 32 people....

This sounds SO EPIC. I'm in. also, may I suggest that, if we can get to 65, then have 65 to accurately replicate March Madness (what I mean is, can we have 65 for a play-in game).

EDIT: to help us get to 64, maybe we can ask for a temporary sticky
