I have played RB4 (Xbox One) quite a bit since it was released but have exclusively played guitar. I was waiting for a way to connect my Ion Drums before I started drumming again. It seems I've missed the boat on that. So what would you recommend?
- Is there a way of connecting them now, without taking them apart?
- Is there a drum set available to buy on its own that works pretty well?
- Should I be looking at RB3 drums or RB4?
Thank you! _________________

I also missed the boat on the ION adapter. Really bummed about that. _________________

Unfortunately they do not. You need a wireless adaptor for wireless instruments to work on the xboxone from the 360, and wired instruments don't work unless there is a wired adaptor that seems to be impossible to get. Xboxone owners are SOL for most people if they have old wired instruments. _________________

Because I hate myself I guess, I went back and found all my email receipts for everything related to my ION drums:
Base ION kit - $319
Destroyer Pedal - $85
Replacement mesh heads - $47
Roadie Cymbal Expansion Pack - $50
Total: $501 (includes all shipping)
Not to mention the headache of RMA'ing the pedal that came with the IONs after it broke, which prompted buying the Destroyer, and also now the switch on the destroyer is damaged but I haven't bothered fixing it since I can't use the IONs with RB4 anyway.
I should be more upset. I guess I should be glad I didn't buy a real MIDI drum kit, though that would still be useful on its own. _________________

There is a method that involves using a GH drumkit if you dont mind playing on not-Pro.
If you absolutely MUST have Pro Drums, though... unless you can somehow manage to come across a wild PDP adapter then your only options are to switch to PS4 and rebuild as much of your library as possible, or go stock. Pick your poison. _________________
