Basically while they were negotiating the whole Chinese Democracy thing, Dan Ryckert and a friend of his made a hoax video of him speaking to ostensibly one of the pr people for Harmonix off the record at E3. In the video the fake pr person says that Chinese Democracy will be releasing as a 4 disc album to coincide with the VMAs that year. Coincidentally the guy Ryckert had playing the PR guy actually looked pretty similar to one of their actual PR people. The story got picked up, and it killed negotiations beyond the release of Chinese Democracy, possibly more as it just made Harmonix look really unprofessional.

So we got no more GnR in GH because Axel Rose was pissed that Neversoft put Slash in the game. Now we're not getting any GnR in RB because Axel Rose is pissed at Harmonix because of a conversation with a fake PR guy? ><
