Do you need to get these notes out of the way by planning to hit them earlier as well?

OR.....is the timing window of the note simply only based on how much room it has after the previous note anyways.

For example, if there are two 32nd notes with no (close) notes in front of them (lets say a grace note, where the second note is a sustain).....if you hit the first one as early as allowed (so like a 16th note or more hefore); and the second note EXACTLY a 32nd note after it....will it work?

I'm asking because in this scenario it would make it so that the second note would actually be hit before the exact position of the first note.

Is this the way it works, or is this impossible?

Probably. If they're 32nds they're probably not far enough away that the 2nd note's timing window would be out of range. It may be a close deal, though.

Not sure why you'd want to hit them like that though, except for early whammy.

Yes, I'm pretty sure this is how it works, at least in RB2 and on, not sure about RB1. It is most useful in fast strumming sections, where you can get a little ahead and it doesn't matter. In GH1 the timing windows overlapped on both sides of every note so you couldn't strum early in fast strumming nor hit most double squeezes, but it's been fixed in later releases.
