|
|
In case you haven't heard the news, Harmonix is ending support for the Green Day Rock Band export code on April 30th (tomorrow). I realize this is pretty last minute, but wanted to just give a heads up if you want to be able to play those in Rock Band 4. |

Apparently EA will give you a free manual code if you ask their support for one |

You can export RB1 directly from the game itself, no code required. |

Rock Band 2's export license a while ago. It's no longer officially supported to export RB2 anymore if you haven't done it yet, even if you have a fresh manual code. The 20 Free songs expired a bit before that.
The only RB2 songs you can obtain now are the Harmonix ones that were released as a free pack.
Lego Rock Band met a similar fate.
In a couple of hours, the only Rock Band you will be able to export is Rock Band 1. |

Well shit. I'm not so concerned about Lego or Green Day but losing RB2 is a goddamn tragedy. Imo that's one of the finest setlists the plastic instrument genre ever saw
I hope they find a way to bring it back for RB4, one way or another. pun somewhat intentional _________________

Yeah that's funny because I was able to export Rock Band 2 just a month ago.
Funny. _________________

Some people get it to export. Some people have been able to get EA to give them export codes for RB2 and the free tracks. Some of them end up with a code that redeems the Metal Track Pack. Some people are given codes that aren't even a valid length.
Who knows what's actually going on, but if you ask Harmonix about it on Twitter, they'll just tell you "official support for the RB2 export is over". Their official support page says support for the export is over. So it's just easier to say it's over without the 101 different possible and 2% chance of actually working scenarios being brought up. |

I exported every track pack/games about 2 months ago except RB1 & RB2. you have a code directly on the back of the manual for all games except those 2. thats why they are not available anymore.
thanks for the link ! _________________

I can confirm you can get the RB2 export code from EA online support.
Source: I literally just did it. They also gave me an extra code for the 20-pack, so if anybody wants the 20 free DLC songs from RB2 release, PM me. _________________
