I don't remember doing anything special for the gold. Have you tried FCing it without skipping any fills? _________________

DBV,
I got your IM last night, but was way too tired this morning when getting ready for work to reply.
To be honest, I don't know how to help you, simply for the fact that I hate this song and have NO intentions of ever playing it again for score. I do remember that this was a particularly hard song to gold (I'd had 41 before this). I know there was at least 1, maybe 2 parts, where I waited to use my OD, but where those parts are, I can't tell you.
Just know that if you can FC this, you're VERY close to gold, and can cherish the fact that you'll likely never have to play this song again.
When I got my gold, it wasn't an FC. It was 100%, but iirc, I overdrummed towards the VERY end (1467 NS vs ~1580 for an FC).
Good luck! _________________

I think I found the best overdrive path.
activate, skip1>activate, skip1>activate, activate. Video:

Of course, now that I'm posting this, that means my #1 slot will be taken from me even sooner than it otherwise would have been (I can't squeeze), but I feel like it'd be nice to have some more discussion in this forum. I'd like to see what other people have come up with for some of these other songs. |

I got my GS using 0-1-normal, breaking combo twice (one of which had me missing the OD on the snare roll in measure 82). Wound up with 183,425 which is right at the cutoff. Marty81's is definitely better, but a GS is possible with mine. |

Yeah... i managed to FC this and got the gold star on the last note. 183500 being my score. Going to try marty's path and see if i can't manage a FC again. i'll tell you if i see any changes in my score.
Edit... Update...
Just tried this course with a -3 run and got 178700. Didn't realize how hard this song was to GS XD. Guess I'm lucky. |

Indeed. In foll notation, (with squeezes), the path is:
Suffragette City: 0/YO – 1/GO – 1/GO – 0/GO _________________

I think the optimal path is 0-1-1-1 or possibly 0-1-1-2 because then you get the possibility of having the part in the end in your overdrive, but maybe you won't have a chance to activate if you wait too long. I did 0-1-1-1 and got 184,375 with no squeezes. _________________

That's wrong, 0-1-1-0 got me 187k with minor squeezes(maybe 400-600 points of squeezing) |
