Just move your right thumb(or left if you're left-handed I guess) around the buttons in the middle of the drum set by the Xbox button. What I do is just go in a circle...kinda pretend like you're doing one of those things where you have to rotate a thumbstick as fast as you can to fill up a meter...just go in a circle as quick as you can and get points

It seems this works a lot better then pounding on the drum sticks(and is alot less tiring..especially on some of the longer BREs)...try it and lemme know what you think

I was doing the same thing on Nov 20.
Nothing fancy, takes some of the magic out of it.
Plus I remember hearing something that its time capped on how many points you get.
Like hitting 10 things in 5 seconds gives around the same points as spamming it 40 times in 5 seconds.
I never did any testing my self. The point is to go freestyle and play your own beat, not throw the whole rhythm out the window.

and on that note I finally found that spanish raggaeton beats thats in 99% of them songs. bass, blue, bass, yellow repeat

what kind of score improvement are you seeing from doing this?

I haven't tried it yet, but I would guess that a lot of the better players would faster with the sticks, no?

Um...I heard of the score cap on the ending, and also....I love to use the endings to test my "freestyle" technique. The open parts are awesome for being creative so...that's much cooler than randomly spamming drums?

There's no need to flail wildly on the drums during a BRE unless you feel like it. You will end up with pretty much the same score whether you hit 40 notes a second or 5 notes a second.

So just try and jam out with the song, make up some cool fills, and have fun.

They designed it like this so that the drummers could be creative and not have to just spam the drums.
